SAN FRANCISCO -- Federal officials are warning California medical marijuana dispensaries they must shut down within 45 days or face criminal prosecution and having their property confiscated.

The state's four U.S. attorneys sent letters Wednesday and Thursday notifying at least 16 pot shops or their landlords that they are violating federal drug laws, even though medical marijuana is legal in California. The attorneys are to announce their coordinated crackdown at a Friday news conference.

The move marks an escalation of the conflict between the government and the medical marijuana industry.

seriously!! all this talk about decriminalizing pot and advancing its medicinal use but yet the feds are going apeshit over the dispensaries. I live in a very "green" state and i am a medical mj patient and i think it is absolute bullshit. our local dispensary has been threatened by feds a few times. not one person in the dispensary is doing any harm. everybody is just medicating and socializing. the feds need to focus on themselves because some of the most corrupt people are in politics.
 
Not only did Obama lie about there going to be discussions about legalizing he also lied about stopping the government crackdowns on medicinal dispensaries. Fuck Obama. If you guys fall for his shit a second time and elect him in again then you are as much apart of the problem as he is

Not only did he lie bout it, he laughed about it when the question was brought up.

My favorite question was something along the lines of: "What would you do if your life was ruined by being convicted of using cocaine? (which he admitted to doing)"

In a time when the government is in need of more tax revenue, they are going to close hundreds of legitimate tax paying businesses (in California alone). Then I'm sure they'll go after the dispensaries in the other 15 states. And then the growers who supply the dispensaries. Besides direct taxes paid by dispensaries, growers and dispensaries pay sales tax on supplies, income taxes on employee saleries, dispensaries rent space from a landlord who then pays tax on the rent, medical marijuanna card holders usually pay a registration & yearly fee, growers & dispensaries use utilities (water, sewer, electricity) which charges local taxes, etc...and its all revenue for the government.

I beleive the statement that hes just a puppet. Yea hes the face, hes speaking to the nation...but he aint runnin shit. Someone else is calling the shots and obamas bitch ass does what hes told. How do you just constantly spit out lies to the entire nation.

I cant see how anyone can still believe he should be running the Unites States of America.

You people do realize that not everyone in a government job is ruled by Obama, correct? Obama could be trying to legalize and the DEA, at the same time, could be shooting anyone that even smells like cannabis.
 
Of course they want the pot shops to shut down, they are making money that the fed isnt getting a taste of!

He can step in and stop the "multiple" agencies that have been raiding dispensaries. And if he can't do anything about he should not have promised that he would stop the raids. That video shows that he is a liar and you defending him makes you look like a tool

A U.S. Attorney shall continue in office, beyond the appointed term, until a successor is appointed and qualified.[9] By law, each United States attorney is subject to removal by the President.

Damn I was so proud of obama getting in and shit but this is whack as fuck /: I finally turned 18 last month and have the chance now to vote and fuck I'm not looking forward to voting for any republican, bleh. Either way I feel like if a democrat doesn't get in there's just going to be more of this shit going on with obama or not. Fuck the ways of America... We all just get lied to by the government each and everyday, since the day we are born to the day we die.
