Took a 1mg klonopin this morning, probably at 10 oclock or so. went out for the day came home at around 4:30-5 and over the course of a few hours took a regular(for me) dose of kratom which is making me itchier than usual.. a bit more nauseous too.taking a benadryl(25mg) would probably be relatively safe right? i havent been feeling the clonazepam for hours..

^No problem.

Just so you know mitragynine and 7-OH-M, the theorized primary active constituents to kratom, are metabolized via phase II glucuronidation and therefore wouldn't be effected by diphenhydramine's inhibition of CYP2D6. Although clonazepam's is mediated by CYP3A4, that would result in more of an issue if you consumed grapefruit juice than diphenhydramine.

Check out the Awesome CYP-45 thread in the OD Directory (linked in my signature) for more information.

edit:
Also if you were just worried about the combined hypnotic effect of all these drugs they are likely in small enough amounts (though your kratom tolerance/dosage is in the wind) that you would be okay. Kratom is a pretty big wild card in opioid strength and other active nausea inducement and it could be the antihistamine won't help at all.

Oddly enough was aware of thee grapefruit juice thing. Was not really all that concerned for my physical well being as i was interested in side effects that might show up.had read a forum on another site where one person claimed diphenhydramine had caused a blackout on a relatively small dose of klonopin, considering the half life i thought i'de throw the question out here to see what answers i get.My kratom dose was 35 grams which sounds high to a lot of people but it's actually less than what i usually consume. it was all fine, was surprised at how little effect the benadryl had. on a side note as far as diphenhydramine and nausea goes, for me,has helped more than any otc antiemetic, antacid, etc. especially in the case of kratom. i had not been dosing with any for the past 2 weeks and became nauseous to some degree every time. took it with the past two doses and experienced 0 stomach issues. for me diphenhydramine is a little gift from science...at low doses of course..cant stress that enough
