Misc Adderall and DXM mixed, what happened?

I had 120+mg adderall and 150 or more mg of DXM(don't recall measurements), at 4 o clock, at 10-11 i had a sever pain in back of my neck, on the right side seemed like the top of the spine a little bit, but on right side. I fought staying conscious and the pain went away. By this time my eyes were extremely dilated but after the pain went away my eyes went to some what normal state. After a shower i noticed my eyes were big again, and within 10 minutes the pain in my neck was back and i fought the urge to pass out right there. After the pain in my neck went away i had noticed my heart rate increased and my blood pressure was above normal. My heart rate was extreamly fast as i moved but if i stayed in bed and not moved it slowed down, but still noticeable fast, untill i moved a limb or took a deep breathe. I found it hard to breath normally and i was really cold on the feet and hands. The whole night i never fell asleep.
So wut right there just happened.

DXM is a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (stops your body from re-absorbing the two after use). Amphetamine (Adderall) releases norpinephrine and dopamine.

The end result is your body is flooded with norepinephrine (a stress horomone involved in the fight-or-flight reflex) and your blood pressure and heart rate go way up. Muscle stiffness, changes in body temperature, nausea, flushing, and pupil dialation. You are lucky that your symptoms weren't that bad (due to the low DXM dose).


DXM and amphetamines is a known bad combination. FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, do not do this again. You're at risk of a hypertensive crisis if you do so.

yes PLEASE never partake in this combination ever again. especially with that much adderall. be careful and dont do any drugs for a few days to let your brain recover. at that dose DXM can be quite stimulating by itself, but i suppose if youre doing 100+mg of amphetamine it wouldnt feel very stimulating since you have tolerance.
