^^ I love thinking about exams and other stressful/anxiety-inducing life events.
"Just think....in x amount of days this will all be over" :)
It's quite a relieving thought, I find!

Good luck with the rest of the exams Wolfie, you're a star <3

OD oh my goodness, you ARE Mr Clean!! And there is a pun in there somewhere too :)

DO NOT bleach your eyebrows OD!!!

that's risky shit right there...

Wether it be a long ass test or a grueling journey to a far off destination, I always daydream about looking back in retrospect when it's all over.
It seems to almost make the finish line come a lil closer...
I appreciate the support bigtime everybody <3

@HWH--I'd love to read your essay! Do we get a synopsis? "What do you want to be remembered for?" I see a thread in the making....

Halloween: last year I went as myself with the back of my skirt stuck in my underwear and a piece of toilet paper trailing out of my shoe. Now that was an easy costume. :)This year? Not sure. Our town has always gone crazy at Halloween and so for the past two years it has turned into a police state with giant stadium lights and temporary fences on all the sidestreets and cops everywhere so it feels more like a giant metaphor for the state of the country as opposed to a great holiday that was once one of my favorites. It's still fun to see the costumes though, so I'll have to think of something.

I'd love to read my essay too.
But to avoid any chance of cheating, the state of California made me shred my rough draft after i turned my final draft into the teacher...
To the best of my goldfish-like memory it went something like this...

Our planet is currently occupied by over 6billion people; 6billion seperate biographies being written all at once. It would take serious action to stand out from such a crowd. All action originates from thought; it is the condition of those thoughts that not only dictate the action itself, but how it acts!
There are alot of things wrong and unjust in this world, but thats not the worst part. the worst part is that most of the world doesnt even realize it, and the rest just dismiss it as unchangeable.
If our physical bodies can evolve to live more comfortably and efficiently, why can't our minds do the same?
Our planet, like any other organism, works only when all parts are operating in harmony. My goal is to do whatever I can to get that machine running towards our salvation, rather than damnation.
If I were to be honored for any reason, it would be for the lifetime of effort I will put forth into not only seeking the truth, but spreading it to all who will listen.
The feeling I get when I heal the problems of my own life will always be dwarfed by the warmth I receive when doing the same for others.

That's basically the shitty, chicken-scratch version of my totally bitchin essay...

That's why I love Walpurgisnacht..... and even better..... the Man is usually too concerned with watching the Reds on that day.... they tend to come out of the woodwork, and draw heat off us spooky-kids. 8)

Pinko-commie scum do have their uses sometimes. =D

That is awesome!!! The people that grade the essays are going to be blown away. They should just let you skip the whole rest of the test on your essay alone:D

He is a nice badass!
That is OD in a nutshell :) <3

Hehehe that is a really cute idea =D

Halloween has really only recently become a "thing" here in Australia. When I was a kid, we all knew what date Halloween was, but no-one celebrated or dressed up or anything. Makes sense, because Halloween has absolutely nothing to do with Australia at all! :D
However, the tradition has slowly infiltrated in to our culture, and even though it still has no true meaning to Aus (and never will), kids will now dress up and go trick-or-treating etc. My boyfriend is such a cracky old bastard for Halloween though, when kids knock on the door on the 31st October he's always like "No! Don't give them lollies. Don't even answer the door. Halloween isn't even a holiday here"
:D
I always buy candy on the 30th though, because I know kids will come a'knockin :)

And now each year the Sydney psytrance crew put on a Halloween bush doof (this will be the 4th year in a row), so now even I dress up! Last year was the first time in my whole life that I'd ever dressed up for Halloween =D

That is something I would like to go to^. Too far, though:(

OK--don't laugh if this doesn't work--I think with Dave and Tommyboy's help I have finally figured out how to post a picture. Drumroll, please...

I did it!

So that was my Mom's surprise birthday present for her 82nd birthday. She said at first she thought my sister had gotten her some "god-awful giant garden gnome"

there is NO WAY your mother is 82!!!! Wow!

She has such a positive glow of kindness about her. I see where you get your innate warmth and compassion. I admire your family, herbavore <3

73 degrees and windy, amazing weather. Was clear out tonight and saw the stars VIVID. Also, there was a bit of lighting in the sky, so it was even moreso amazing.

Nights like this make all those rough times worth it.

thanks, everybody---yeah, my mom is one in a million. 82 years old with five volunteer jobs so she doesn't get bored, has suggested that we have National Fuck Day where everybody goes out into their front yard and yells FUCK at the top of their lungs so that we can get over our national phobia of the word, is a PHD in political science and the most down-to-earth, tolerant people-person in the world. I feel very lucky to have her.
