Hello everyone,

I’d like to start off with a big THANK YOU for the availability of this forum, as it serves a great purpose within our society.

By creating this thread, it is my intention to grain a deeper and more rounded understanding of LSD, as my curiosity has grow significantly regarding the effects of this hallucinogen. I’ll admit that I’m a sucker for being rather consumed by the stigmatization of the substance, for it is viewed as an extremely potent and somewhat unforgiving. On the contrary, the deep sense of fulfillment, joy and enlightenment is the other contrast I have been exposed to. Having said that, I still feel as though it is “my time” to try this substance and I’m looking for some guidance and help in how I should prepare or groom myself.

My experiences with these substances (hallucinogens) reflect that of an amateur and I wouldn’t say I’m a well-rounded and familiar person with their effects. I have had a mere two experiences with psilocybin in the form of mushroom caps. Initially, I was looking for a substance that was going to give me a similar high to that of MDMA. The first time I consumed psilocybin was in a club environment. It was my intention to, and I was expecting to be high through the medium of empathy and love. Instead, I found myself to be stimulated via the medium of thought, and felt as though I was a being of immense intellect. I found it difficult to talk to those around me that were “sober” (not on psilocybin) because my mind was thinking and thinking and thinking about thinking and I found myself getting sick and tired of thinking. Luckily, I was in the company of many friends whom were in a similar state to myself. It was interesting because we were all standing together and having a little dance and giggle to ourselves. During this point, I felt as though we were an isolated minority within the club with everyone watching or observing us, as though we were a group of crazy, giggling, deluded individuals. It was rather hilarious and we giggled some more. To keep it short, I wasn’t able to conclude much from this experience and didn’t think too much of it. Is that ironic? Perhaps. This experience was one that I would class, for lack of a better expression, as “odd”. I find it rather difficult to draw upon, as it was merely being high.

The second experience involved spending a day at a local park. Two friends and myself woke up early and met at approximately 11am. Consumed and off we went. This experience was one that I will NEVER forget. To keep it short, it was one that involved the discussion of society and social stigmatization around language and expectations. For example, I felt very aroused during the whole experience, but my mates would piss themselves laughing, as it was the incorrect choice of word. From this we would discuss the meaning around the word and what it meant from a societal point of view. I should mention that time felt as though it was going VERY slowly. This made the experience seem like an eternity and as though we were able to conclude so much about the world around us and ourselves. It was highly enlightening and provided myself and friends with a greater sense of intellect and indulgence regarding the world. The end came to a draw, as we all felt there so nothing more to contribute. It was time to get a cup of coffee and that’s what we did. During this, we were all smiling and feeling as though we had just spent a period of our lives that gave us answers to all of life’s questions. BUT, we couldn’t figure out what we had actually concluded. This didn’t matter in the slightest.

Just to add in – The tree’s felt like they were heaving and by this I mean pulsating like voom, voom, voom. We giggled and agreed. Also, the park was rather large so we were able to walk along its paths and go into little huts and sit and look and observe. It was delightful.

Guys, I’ve gone fourth and share that with you all because I would like to know what you could draw from that and liken it to LSD. What am I in for? I have had friends describe it as a feeling that is similar to that of MDMA, yet provides you with the sort of “intellect” that psilocybin does. Is this remotely true? I’m honestly after some insight and would appreciate everyone’s time to address my sense of inquisitiveness. I don’t feel as though this is something that I should just jump on the bandwagon and go for a ride on. Having said that, I was silly and did that with psilocybin during my first experience at the club. What are your thoughts? Oh and dosage? You can always redoes can’t you? Half a tab and if it’s no good then a little more? What about eating? I found eating on psilocybin to kill the high.

I should mention that I am very familiar with MDMA. Much, much more so than psilocybin.

Share your thoughts… Oh and I’m in no hurry.

Seems like you really enjoyed mushrooms of lot, I bet your gonna love acid.

I've always preferred it over bloomers, its less confusing and more intellectual. Has a really remarkable body high and euphoria. The visuals from LSD are amazing on high doses and inspired a ton of my artwork. Both of the them are wonderful, but I'd rather have clean Lucy any day of the week. It will probably be one of the best days of your life, my first time taking acid surely was.

Thank you for the replies guys!

I will do some reading in that thread. Yes, I would have to say that psilocybin absolutely blew my mind away! Believe it or not, the high felt as though it was very natural and reflected an innate characteristic within myself. Nothing felt as though it was forced or artificially generated. Instead, it was simply a window that was opened for a period of time that allowed the exploration and even exploitation of thoughts, ideologies and emotions. Highly liberating. Highly enlightening.

Compare this to MDMA which generates a very forceful high that feels artificially generated and synthetic. But then again, I'm comparing apples and oranges.

Any other thoughts? More would be wonderful.

Kind regards.

I wouldnt quite compare L with MDMA ime. MDMA like you said is a very forced feeling. LSD seems to vary alot as far as the forced feeling goes. Sometimes its reallllllly smooth and other times its kinda chaotic almost more akin to a shroom trip (in my subjective experiences ofcourse).

I find lucy doesn't make you feel empathetic in the same way as MDMA does. L definitely more of an intellectual thing as opposed to a "omg i love you and everything about you" which might be common on MDMA.

One biggy with Acid is that it's effects can vary quite a bit. though I think given the good fun and experience you had with mushrooms acid should be fun for you. Especially how you seem to enjoy the intellectual aspects of the trip as opposed to the visuals and odd feelings etc. I find acid to be much more clear headed that mushrooms.

Now LSD AND MDMA taken together is phenomenal on every level. Only do that if you KNOW what your getting your self into.

I think I should end this with, as always if your taking something as awesomely mind altering as LSD make sure your set and setting is all good. But given the way you handled your self in a club, on your first time, you should be good:D
