a good friend of mine recently ordered a long list of research chemicals from a vendor whom he claims offers pro-lad. does anyone know the likelyhood of this substance actually being an lsd analog? i thought that those were almost impossible to find, but then again the same friend found a legitimate source for mdma so there is no telling. is there any sort of reagent test i could find to test pro-lad? would an lsd reagent work?

Ehrlich's reagent (para-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde) will tell you whether or not the compound contains indole in its structure, which will narrow it down somewhat. It will basically just tell you that its [either an ergoloid or tryptamine] or something else entirely.

As an interesting aside, the guy who this reagent test is named for, Paul Ehrlich, is one of the most interesting characters in the history of science. His obsession with dyes and staining led him to observe that bacteria preferentially absorb certain dyes, which was the impetus for his research into organoarsenic compounds that are capable of crossing bacterial cell walls. This research eventually led to a cure for syphilis, which was a significant worldwide health concern at the time.

Uh, yeah, finding a legit MDMA source is really not that difficult. No one's going to sell a chemical online that requires LSD to be synthesized. If that offer is any indication of the rest of the site then I'd say that "long list of chemicals" your friend ordered is probably all bunk.

No drug identification threads, and there are decent responses to your question, so closing this. Seems unlikely that someone would be selling Pro-LAD via a RC vendor being an LSD analog and probably a difficult synth. If you want to discuss PRO-LAD feel free to make a thread/search around for previous threads on the subject.
