I just finished, I really enjoyed it but it was different to what I expected it to be. Although, I don't really know what I expected it to be... Haha. Overall, very good though.

Watching the pigs yelling at him outside his lab made me so fucking angry!

there has been a couple of screenings in perth (at the one-up microcinema) which i was lucky enough to attend, and i can assure you, this is a fucking incredible documentary.

Yeah made angry but I laughed at the pigs jumping when they were told the peyote was at their feet haha perfect example of how brain washed and ignorant people can be.
Quite a personal doco I thought and it was a great insight into the world of shulgin, was also good to see Nicols talk about his work, never mentioned his 6-apb though lol

Although Shulgin is not an Aussie, I do believe that this film is very relative to AusDD readers, as, tens of his chemicals are widely available in this country. For that reason I will keep this thread open. Many of these substances have had life changing effects on myself and many other BLers.

tiss very relevant as you said because although Shulgin didnt invent MDMA, he did bring it back into the spotlight and with that MDMA started a whole counter culture that publicity through law enforcement and mainstream media saw MDMA consumed by the masses today.......well I should say the masses consume what they think is MDMA.

also the huge amount of other chemicals he synthed which up to now havnt caught on or become too popular thank heavens.

sometimes the editing seems haphazard and too choppy

othertimes there is some intelligent use of the kind of clips put side by side...

insightful to say the least, thanks for posting the link !
 
watched the lot just now, fucking awesome! and yes the was a little amature in production, it was still a wonderfull film.
