White AM-2201 vs Yellow AM-2201

Since my usual source is unable to take business at the moment, I bit the bullet and ordered a gram of AM-2201 from another vendor, which I received 2 days ago.

I think there is definitely something wrong with this AM-2201. It's either mixed with something or is a very low purity grade. It has a yellowish tint, less crystals, weird buttery after-taste, and is significantly less potent than the AM-2201 I get from my usual source.

Let me tell you about the AM-2201 I get from my usual source.
Color: White
Odor: Chemical. Kind of like Lysol(household cleaning spray)
Taste: Almost none. Just a bit chemical-like taste.
When burned: Burns clean
Potency: Very potent. 15mg dose fucks me up like no other. Can almost trigger a panic attack, and it has.

Now compare that to the yellow AM-2201 I got from this new vendor
Color: Light yellow, but not dark like JWH-122.
Odor: Same as the white AM-2201 but the smell is a lot weaker.
Taste: The chemical-like taste is there but it's overwhelmed by this weird buttery after-taste. Kind of tastes like milk or celery.
When burned: It doesn't burn as clean as the white AM-2201. It leaves off black ash. wtf?
Potency: Very weak. I am taking upwards of 30mg-40mg PER DOSE and the effects are still weaker than what I got from 10mg dose of the white AM-2201. My eyes barely get bloodshot, the high is weak and goes away in like 10 minutes.

What is going on here? Did I get scammed?

Impure or cut to hell. Unless you've got a serious tolerance, your good stuff is cut too. 1-2mg, maybe even less, will get most people high.

AM-2201 doesn't last very long in general. Your comment about it wearing off within 10 minutes is consistent with my experience.

Nah, I am pretty sure the good stuff isn't cut. He's a highly trusted vendor within the community and supplies to a lot of "blend" makers.
My tolerance to 2201 was already pretty high even before I started using them in pure powder form. My tolerance to cannabinoids in general is also ridiculously high.
15mg of the good stuff was the highest I could comfortably handle in a single dose. But what I would consider "comfortable" could be terrifying to some people.

Of course, AM-2201 is very short lasting but the good stuff always gave me at least 20 mins of intense effects.

I find it kinda hard to believe that 1-2mg would get most people high. That's a very small amount. That's 500-1000 doses per gram. Taking 10 doses a day, it would still last 50-100 days.
5mg seems more like the right number.

Anyway, I am still not sure if I should call out the vendor for sending me impure shit. I did some searches on google and it seems that the yellow tint doesn't necessarily mean impurity nor lower quality.
Can any chemistry buffs here tell me if that's true? that pure AM-2201 can come in both colors?

The fact that it has weird taste and doesn't burn clean still bothers me though. If it was actually cut to hell, what substance could cause that buttery taste?

my AM-2201 has always been yellow. JWH-122 was yellow once, and was white every other time (got it from the guy that provided the AM-2201... this guy also provides JWH-210 but was recently out of stock)

they all seemed pretty much the same to me. maybe this new batch seems weaker because you have developed a tolerance?

1-2mg will most certainly get someone who has no or low tolerance high. Well it got me anyway. However, the tolerance skyrockets very soon, I found myself using around 8-15mg/hit in just about 2-3 days after starting the binge, couple days more and the bag was emptying in about 200mg/day rate (smoking all day, all the time). Oh, and the appearance of this particular AM was off-white/faintly yellow, slightly crystalline, sticky, fluffy powder. In my opinion looks like more than it actually weighs.

If the material is not potent, then yes isn't it obvious that something is wrong? Either impure from synthesis or impure from cut, or both. With tolerance you notice a difference of course but there should not be a sudden drop.
But when it comes to appearances all bets are off. I do recall a lot of discussion about JWH appearances and either color or texture did not seem to guarantee anything about potency. Seems to be rather something like a morphology issue or hydration or something else that changes chemical properties (slightly) but not in a pharmacologically significant way.

You wouldn't believe how high tolerance can become.

I've done 1g in a day. After 4 days of complete break an almost invisible amount almost freaked me out, first time paranoia ever, well when I had no tolerance the time before I guess I was more careful .

Take a break and test it again. If you already had a break: scam.

ps: I'll never use am-2201 again, I'm just too weak . If it wasn't THAT f_kin good against pain for me .
