I suspected I had a high tolerance to amphetamines first day I used them, cause I popped a 40mg Focalin XR and the effects were soooo brief. Same situation with adderall. I've done 40mg 3 days in a row, and today I chewed 60mg of Focalin, but it was even weaker than the first time!! I got like 45 minutes into my paper, and started losing focus again. I have a fast metabolism and all, but I mean this is just ridiculous. I feel like I'm wasting them... :(

Are some people just not easily affected by amphetamines? Cause I have a buddy that took one 40mg still in the capsule, and he was having like the best time of his life.

I have about 140mg of Focalin left..how can I use this in the most efficient way possible?
Thanks for your time

You may be the type who has a metabolism that can break down amphetamine before it reaches your bloodstream. Try using vyvanse. I found that it completely blows any amount of adderall out of the water. For me, 30mg of vyvanse feels like 60mg of Adderall XR. I don't know why. The only reasonable explanation is that my body breaks down regular amphetamine in my stomach, but Lis-D-amp isnt broken down until it reaches my intestines.

As far as I know, insufflation is the best way to use methylphenidates. A group of my friends swear by it. This is, by no means, a safer way, but as for getting a "better bang for your buck" it may be the best choice. Proceed with caution.

Happy geekin'

Tolerance builds quickly with stims. Take a few days off and your tolerance will go down considerably.

^This. If you're not eating or sleeping as much as normal that will cause that issue as well. Take a break, let yourself recover, and you should be good.

thanks for the replies. I didn't know tolerance builds up that fast, so I'll cut back. I'd rather use it every once in a while and have it work better. Also, I heard something about Tums making amphetamines stay in your stomach longer. Any confirmation on this?

Tums increase the pH (decrease the acid levels) in your stomach, making it take longer for amphetamines to be eliminated from your system. So yes, that is true.
