So I'm just curious to hear people's opinions on Ketamine. I've only done it once and wasn't all that impressed. I felt like the experience was just like being super shitfaced but with a nice body high. It definitely was an aggressive dissociative. It made me feel very loopy and i kept telling myself that i was in the looney bin haha. Anyways i know some people that this is there drug of choice. I thought it was psychoactive but i did not have any psychedelic like experiences. I guess id just prefer a nice hippy flip or sumthin over ketamine anyday. If u want get all crazy and stupid why take a animal sedative and just drink sum brew.

Dose higher, ketamine can take you to worlds beyond worlds. To an extent where you can't tell 'yourself' that 'you' are in the looney bin. I went on a transformative ketaminic journey once exploring foreign landscape and losing all track of my body and any semblance of thinking I was alive only to emerge covered in what looked like plastic wrap. Turns out it was just my clothes and skin... 8(

ive only experience nasal,
and the only bad effect, you guessed it,
was the drip and how much you had to sniff,
its crystals, and 250 mg crystals up the nose is not too much fun,
it goes up easy, but once its there its uncomfortable,
but once you reach your k hole,
its something else,
its your own space in your mind,
ketamine is very user specific,
and it has anti depressant qualities,

be careful,
i find that ketamine should be used sparingly though,
it has something to show,
but give it time to show you,
i dont really like dissociates but they are worth trying,

the oevs are amazing and it makes your body feel numb,
ive tried it, i just like other drugs better at the moment though, so wont be buying more soon,
dpt is more interesting right now and 5 meo dmt,
theres just something about dissociative that i dont like and scares me a bit.

the k-hole is the thing to "rave" about in ketamine. the pre-hole effects are nice but nothing special
and the thing with the animal tranquilizer - so what ? brew contains solvent :)

yeah k hole is why people do K..
its very unique but not for everyone,
so start low and build experience to drugs first.

my 1st time i wasnt to impressed either untill i tried mxe then i grew to love both k and mxe, you gotta do more then itll turn into something great and its not just a animal sedative, its still used for humans in medicine and can often be used in order to treat them in emergency situations. its also often used to treat phantom limbs by people with missing limbs. if im not mistaken its 1 of the most useful chemicals in history

i hate brews it wouldnt be able to replace k anyday for me

Didn't you crush the crystals? I've never found it too unpleasant snorting K once it is crushed to a powder.

Anyway to the original poster, people rave about K because IT'S AWESOME! Only joking (well i'm not I love K) but I have definitely found it is a love/hate drug between my friends.

I enjoy K at both low and K-hole doses. I enjoy watching TV on it and literally watching my whole living room transform into different rooms and places, it's incredible. However, I can understand why you may not have liked it, having only done it once. The first time I tried it, all I really felt was a drunk, confusing feeling. I tried it again the next night and K-holed for the first time and from then on it was my favourite drug.

That statement holds no merit whatsoever. I cannot stand when people refer to it's use in the veterinary world. It makes no sense.

It's use on horses is a human application to a neutral substance. Believe it or not, many things in life have more than one use. Alcohol and Water are common solvents, but it doesn't mean they can only be used as a solvent.
Ketamine is also used on the elderly (and all range of ages) due to it's benign, controllable and safe nature. Does this mean it can ONLY be safe for elderly people? Just because something is used on an animal, it doesn't automatically assume the role of hazardous to humans.
The World Health Organisation deemed it a primary choice in "Essential Drugs List" aswell. It's used to treat emergency situations aswell as on the battlefield, again for it's safe nature. It makes no sense to talk about it's use in horses....only the ignorant do that, like my mother.
We created the chemical and we applied it's uses.

I don't even think they use it on horses I think they have different tranquilisers for larger mammals.
I've heard they also use it on children as well as the elderly.
I've never K holed myself I love building up to the point where you sort of slip in and out.
Huge anti depressant, short acting drug, psychedelic - what's not to rave about

AWESOME for an ecstasy comedown.

^ This. Ketamine gave me my first experiences of ego loss, it is a truly powerful and wonderful dissociative, however many people are unimpressed because they never take the dose high enough.

Aim for 200-250mg if you've only tried it once and want to experience the depths of what Ketamine can do next time. A line or two is good fun, but more of a lighthearted recreational experience than the full blown voyage into hyperdimensional space a full dose can be.

Edit: Also regarding the "animal tranquilliser" argument, Ketamine was developed as an anaesthetic. PCP was too, and Ketamine was actually PCP's replacement since PCP had too many adverse effects. It was a success and it's still used today. Ever hear of people having out of body experiences after being pulled out of a car crash? Probably because of the high dose of IV Ketamine they've just received from the paramedics. Because of it's success with humans it is also used as an anaesthetic for animals at vetinary surgeries, the "horse tranquilliser" thing is rather redundant as it is very rarely used on horses, more commonly on cats and dogs - and most commonly, on humans.

Why do people rave about anything? Becasue they like it.

However, in the case of ketamine, I would say that its versatility is the key to its popularity- there are people who rave about how awesome low doses are, there are people who rave about how awesome high doses are, there are people who rave about how awesome any dose IM is and so on. It's one of very few drugs that is as psychedelic (mind-expanding) as it is hedonistic.

I would agree with this, Ketamine is an extremely versatile drug that [for people who use regularly] can be as easy as a bump while sitting on the bus or my old favourite; about 200mg give or spill ;) IM, to reach other galaxies. It's a pick-me-up but downy don't care about anything buzz all the way to a full out psychedelic experience (I've had to remember for myself what a human was one time.. Now that is trippy to think of your circulatory system and your brain and muscles and organs and then remember, Oh yeah, that's what I am) haha

I always found that people either liked k, or didn't like k. There's not much of an 'in-between.'
K's amazing. You can do a little bump and feel loopy, do a line and k-hole and discover different dimensions, or add it to the effects of a different drug and have your mind blown. I used to always combine MDMA and k. It feels awesome, intensifies the effects of the MDMA, and makes the comedown a helluva lot more smooth. Psychedelics and k is also pretty damn great. You wanna REALLY be separated from this world? That's the way to do it. Even watching a tv show or movie while on k is psychedelic enough on its own - it literally feels like you are within the screen, participating in the action. Oh, and if you've got a headache or are depressed, k's wonderful for alleviating that pain.

Disregard the earlier advice and do less

I tend to find the best way to take ketamine is in a dark room with some downtempo/ambient music in my earphones.

Make lots of small lines (enough so that around 2-3 would count towards a k-hole) and do a line. Wait for it to kick in and then do another one.

I tend to find that this method of achieving a k-hole leads to a very comfortable & visual k-hole whereby you're still aware of who you are.

Instant k-holes can come on a bit sudden and the feeling of slipping off the edge of reality can definitely catch you out if you're not used to it. I was never a fan until I tried it this way & without distractions.

Try again, take it easy & enjoy.

Hey Tranced, thanks for the advice, I'm just about to try some for the first time and this method sounds like pure gold.

I rave about ketamine because it's an incredibly deep, surprising and multifaceted experience; I enjoy getting drunk and having a couple small lines for a hilarious wonky mindfucky night out sort of deal, and I love going deep into the K hole and having OEVs/OBEs almost beyond description. Also it can be a very exhausting and pretty scary experience under some circumstances / depending on dosage, and I find this very interesting. It's a drug that can kick your ass and is 100% in charge.
