I really want to go but there is a severe shortage of gear in Syd right now and I dont fancy my chances of buying inside the even
 
Hi all! I've got 2 tickets that I need someone to take off my hands... I'm selling them for less than final release price because I know there are still tix available and tbh I'm strapped for cash :( :(

and would rather be heading to something more affordable like monster mash (woot!! Shameless promotion, new to this forum so no idea if you guys know/are noisy chicken but i've been to both monster mashes so far and it gets better every time)..

I digress. I'm selling 2 tix for $280 which includes name change for both tickets and then I'll email the tickets to the new owner :)

Just so you all know I sold the tix! Posting them up on ebay was effective but costly, involving lots of moneys being taken off me by both ebay and paypal sigh. Name changes cost $15 on the moshtix website so it's pretty impossible to break even. Oh wells. Hope everyone that goes has the best time ever :D
 
Guys i was just talking to a friend who has been past 2 years, she is a girl and i asked about getting beans through the entry. She said "it's really easy for girls but guys usually get a girl to take them in...gotta be careful there are plenty of dogs as u walk in and at penrith" ( i think she means the train station).

I am coming down with a group of 6 guys and she is making it sound like it's extremely hard for guys to take pills inside is she just over exaggerating?Do they search/sniff every male that goes in? Do they just pull u off the street n search u? If something were to happen it would be a massive downer on our trip as u can imagine lol. Or what have you guys done in previous years?
 
Ok but i already knew that. I'm asking if they search every single person or if some people are just able to walk in? I know it's going to be strict but i'm assuming a large percentage of the people going are going to be doing this :S
 
Hey candyflip420,

As Sir Pacman mentioned, security will be strict as all hell. It doesn't matter what sex you are either, the dogs with sniff male and female goers and both will also be searched. Obviously you wont be the only one trying to get whatever in but i guess it just comes down to luck in the end :\

I've never been to Defqon.1, but I'm assuming it's the same as any other festival..Random spot checks here and there, then some people get let through and repeat.

As in sneaking drugs in? We're not here to help you do that. Personally, I wouldn't risk it :\

I'd hazard a guess that security is much tighter than a regular festival, as the cops know exactly what type of crowd this one attracts lol.

Put it this way the way the security changed from the first to the second was that more people were exposed to sniffer dogs at the second one. So if you go expect that you will more than likely have to walk past a sniffer dog.

Nobody just walks in as every body is patted down by security and has their bags searched. People from victoria have a separate line and I believe they are put through a slightly stricter search due to the ghb stigma that they have been stuck with due to problems at an event a few years back.

Just found out I am going!!
So so excited. Im new to the rave scene(this will be my first rave event). Im from Brisbane and driving down wednesday night. Its gonna be a biiig weekend:D
Only thing is im going with people who can stomp and shuffle, all will be in their phat pants I am guessing. Ima feel a little out of place haha. If you see a wee lil lad doing his own dance it may well be me:p
 
Ok thanks for the help guys. I knew there would be sniffer dogs around and i know there will be many people trying to do the same so i guess we're gonna have to try our best n keep fingers crossed lol.
 
Less than a week to go!

Super pumped to see Tommyknocker and another fun day at the black stage with the brissy crew..

Also first event since Australia day last year i'll be sober by choice.. Will be a good change from my acid fueled adventure last year..

Woop! A fellow brisbanite:) I am entirely new to the rave scene and havent got a library of hardstyle whatsoever, so I will be following my mates around and they said the Black stage is where its at. Do you stomp by any chance?

Certainly am a stomper :) wouldn't trade the brisbane stomp for anything..

If you spy a platinum blonde in black and green with the brissy group come say hi!
