I smoke hash all the time.
Im very very fond of any full melt made from an OG.
Ive always wanted to try ice extracted wax & amber glass.
That stuff is crazyy expensive.

I've ran across opium several times, but it was mostly around "hippie college kids" but it is very easy to be ripped off. Hash pretty much comes and goes but I've never heard of anyone taking qualudes, pcp, or barbs except for older people I went to rehab with a few years back.

I used to deal opium back in the 80's. I knew a gangbanger in Chicago who got me these big 'fingers' of opium, about 5 inches long & the diameter of a quarter. I'd pull off little 1g blobs & put them between 2 small squares of plastic wrap. After you've been rolling these little balls in your palms, they'd get covered with sticky goo. I'd then drop some shake on my hands & roll out opium/weed balls - YUM! Man, we'd smoke shit tons of opium back then... my whole room would get filled with smoke & we'd just zone out. Good times, good memories.

I had once got hold of a huge bag of 'ludes - real Rorer 714's - and those went pretty quick. Funny story: I was at a house party in the basement & was trying to sell some ludes. The custie asked me if they were any good. At just that moment my buddy came down the stairs with a drink in his hand... he walked straight into the concrete wall & shattered his glass. I told the guy "he's doing 2" and the guy bought a bunch right away!

I was never really into downers so I don't have much to say about that. Did angel dust (PCP) a few times... crazy shit! I went to a guys house and like 5 people were totally dusted, just sitting back in chairs & sofa kinda drifting away in total silence... kinda creepy.

I haven't seen opium or ludes for decades. I hear about dust every now & again, but I've got plenty of RC's on hand so I've been sticking with the MxE. Of course I'd rather do psychedelics anyways...

What is PCP like? Does it compare to any drugs now or is it a feeling all by itself? Just curious because all the old heads I know used to do angel dust when they were younger and I just don't think it's very popular anymore. I wonder why.

It didn't feel like ketamine much to me it felt way more chaotic and dirty. It resembles DXM a good bit in my opinion actually because the head space can be much the same. I think PCP at lower doses could be fun but at the dose i took it at it certainly wasn't.

Chloral Hydrate is so radical. Drunk without drinking. I lived in a pretty old house in New Orleans and the previous owner had left tons of shit around... one was a liquid bottle of chloral hydrate in an old-ish (maybe 80's) glass pharmacy bottle.

I got pentobaarbitol through a friend that had an epileptic dog, so alot of those barbs are still available, just in vet medicine.

Opium is rare, imo more of a novelty than anything.

It's been a long time since I last snorted Angel Dust. Like many drugs, it's quite dose dependent... smallish amounts were great but larger amounts could be quite unpredictable. I once saw a guy totally dusted out late at nite just sitting in front of a television watching the static... he was making a buzzing noise & he told me he was keeping the world going. I've seen people fly off the handle at the littlest things while dusted - larger doses seem to increase aggression a good deal.

PCP shares some characteristics of Ketamine & MxE, but it's not the same. Quite frankly, I can barely remember it now, although I do recall one time we snorted up some fat lines on the high school cafeteria table, then cut school & went to my place. I only lived like 5 blocks away, but it seemed to take forever to shuffle home. Then I fell face first into a beanbag chair while listening to some Pink Floyd... I just entered dreamland & floated away.

PCP has gotten a really bad rep due to idiots who can't handle their drugs. It's been demonized by the press and stigmatized as a really terrible compound. In reality, just like other drugs, the problem lies with the users, not the drug.

every time ive come across opium its when some of my friends bring some back from a festival. A few times its been really good, or what I assume is good opium, considering I don't have much to compare. But I have seen some fake opium also.

Where I am from there is a lot of hash (there's a lot of dispensaries). There is a lot of pcp here too. There is opium especially since I know some Iranians, they always have opium. I live next to Mexico so of course you can find kitamine and some other pharms. I never seen ludes though. That would be cool to see.

I had to laugh a bit at the original post though...opiates...new? People have been abusing the poppy since time immemorial...probably longer than cannabis!

Actually I stated that Opium was old and I haven't seen around in a while. Most of the stuff I have seen in the past was fake as others have posted.

From the DEA website- Marijuana is much stronger now than it was decades ago. According to data from the Potency Monitoring Project at the University of Mississippi, the tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content of commercial-grade marijuana rose from an average of 3.71 percent in 1985 to an average of 5.57 percent in 1998. The average THC content of U.S. produced sinsemilla increased from 3.2 percent in 1977 to 12.8 percent in 1997.7

I mean that's 4 times stronger and they aren't even encompassing from 1970 to now. That's just 77 to 97. I would expect "newer weed" to be better as the sophisticated grow houses and even more discerning clients make it that way naturally. I guess they are only testing US produced shit but, when didn't people grow?

Obviously the pure sativa is a thing of the past and obviously there are other cannabinoids at play strain to strain. No one can argue with that. The fact still remains that the bud tests stronger. I don't know man in my experience the people that say todays bud sucks tend to be nostalgic for an old setting or have yet to stop smoking and have tolerances to match.

Personally I have only been smoking for 13 years. In my lifetime I tend to think that the bud has gotten better. Doesn't matter though cause no matter what there's always an older head talking about acapulco gold and thai stick lol.

I totally agree that marijuana has become stronger over the past 30+ years and never said that it potency has gone down. I simply stated that after smoking for so long and developing a high tolerance that smoking great weed today doesn't do what it used to back in the day. I think that the people that have posted that they think the herbs from the past are better are actually experiencing the same thing I am experiencing. It isn't that they are any better, i think it is just that they don't seem as good because I/we have been using them so long and our tolerance is much higher then it was when we smoked that killer Thai Stick.

Someone mentioned some of the great herbs back in the day like Thai Stick, Columbian Gold, Jamaican Lambsbread, etc and I agree that some of these were just as good as some of the strains produced today. Some of the best strains today are actually hybrids of many of the best herbs from the past.
