Students recognized for anti-drug artwork

^^lol thats true. does neone know if shes in any extracurricular clubs? my bets on young republicans=D

Political party ain't got shit to do with your take on drugs. I'm republican but I do drugs all the time, Ron Paul is republican and he's pro-legalization

this is the most pointless are retarded article i've ever read on bluelight... BORRRRIIINGGG!!!

Biased propaganda tends to capture peoples attention better than ”boring” factual evidence

i do drugs because i don't want to be like her. she's fat, and she sold out society for 2500 when her parents are probably rich anyway. i want my tax dollars going to healthier food in her school lunch room, not a billboard showing me what happens to a girl when she eats American food, food that is less healthy than marijuana.

;) jk

he is one of like two republicans.. and there are quite a few dems that support legalization. not on accident, either. democrats are a little less bought by corporate money and christian-right-moralist money.

to say that liberals accept less corporate money than republicans is just a lie. Maybe different corporate money, but not less.

Regardless, the article is silly. "Addiction is calling, will you pick up?"

Yeah, because everyone who is addicted to drugs wants to be, right? I don't know one opiate addict that wishes for their addiction to continue. Maybe since the NIH finally recognized it as a disease they will start treating and teaching it as one.

LOL I hope the other kids at her school ostracize her for being a snitch that works with the cops. :D

That's bullshit, you can't find a politician in this country who isn't crooked -- regardless of party affiliation.

she isn't pretty is she.

Since when is it cool to attack someones personal appearance because you don't agree with them? :?

Honestly, I think the girl in the OP is short changing herself. $2,500 for her artwork? Is she no Andy Warhol? That is some powerful stuff that, unlike Warhol's work, is actually likely to save lives. People are going to refuse drugs because of her images, and that is one for the history books.

^ Giggled to myself ;)

What I think it comes down to is the school system. "Hey kids, drugs are bad. All drugs. Do a sign and get $2,500 if you win!" public education is really just basic knowledge crammed with biased government views. I remember I didn't know what ecstasy really was until 18 when i started taking it & other drugs, other then smoking weed, although i had done a school paper on a DOC and why it's bad when i was 16. If i didn't go out and educate myself on all drugs and experiment, I would still think E was dangerous and on the same level of meth.

"Know" drugs? How can you "know" drugs if you abstain from them completely? All of your "knowledge" about drugs at that point comes from high school propaganda and hearsay from friends who, considering that you're so vehemently against drugs, probably don't know what the fuck they're talking about ("Like, my cousin's friend smoked weed this one time, and he got so high that he had to go to the hospital cuz he jumped out the window. Don't smoke weed man, that shit's dangerous").

Doesn't that shit piss you off? I had a mandatory drug class for a few weeks because of an arrest, and the counselor had NEVER DONE A DRUG (she admitted this about midway through all proudly). I don't even think she ever took a sip of alcohol. And there she was, talking to people about drugs. Thats like trying to teach people Spanish when you don't know the fucking language.

"Drugs are bad."

*Eats a quadruple stacked burger with a liter of coca-cola.*

There are people who eat and eat and eat and eat; never research, just eat what tastes the best. They, like a drug addict in poor health, manifest their addiction through being ugly and overweight. They suffer loss of confidence, depression, social anxiety and a poor body image.

This art gives society an uneducated and bias view of "drug" use. Probably one of the most common things. To find someone who uses the term "drug" in a light and neutral manner is becoming more and more rare. It's not that I support drug use by the populace, it's that I HATE misrepresented information.
