couple questions about music

so i was wondering what kind of music everyone on here likes to trip to. my favorites are the beatles pink floyd modest mouse grateful dead phish the doors gov't mule moe. some donovan...of course this all depends on the mood if im really lookin to blast off go with the beatles or floyd maybe a little mouse but for a feel good jammy happy time i like phish moe. donovan and mouse...the dead and gov't mule do a good job of fitting in well for either mood so does modest mouse. my other question is based on the music i have mentioned does anyone have any sugestions for any other music i would like? this isnt only music i like while tripping its also just music i enjoy while sober.

thats cool the only electronic music i've really ever gotten into was bassnectar or pretty lights...sts9 is pretty decent as well
 
'Shenanigans' by Mubali is fuuuucking psychedelic.

Also, 'Ukalen' by Atriohm and Encephalopaticys... so much psychedelic detail.
 
pink floyd. old modest mouse. old radiohead. rjd2. i listen to lots of different music but those are my favourite artists to listen to while tripping, oh yes AND COLTRANE !!!! on 2c-e i listened to this album of coltrane and monk playing and it blew me away i've listened to it many times on other psychedelics as well, still blows me away. something about jazz (bebop especially) is very psychedelic, the pure expression, improvisation, i don't know, just amazing. Miles Davis has some pretty trippy shit too.
 
Infected Mushroom, Bassnectar, Caspa, Ratatat, Pretty Lights, MGMT, Ghostland Observatory, Prodigy, Run DMT, Vibe Tribe, Designer Drugs, Boards Of Canada, the Butthole Surfers, the Pixies....some of my favorites :)
 
Shpongle. Some of the most mysterious, psychedelic music out there. I had my first trip to their music and it just blows me away to this day. They are also fantastic live though I've only been able to check out the DJ set.
 
o yea...i completely forgot about jazz...herbie hancock and coltrane are awesome...and shpongle is a very talented group and extremely psychedellic but not my thing im not sure wat it is about them...but for a 1st trip? thats some crazy stuff thats like a full floyd album on ur 1st trip jus get completely spaced ur 1st time...i dont know many ppl if any that could do that
 
The best hard tripping background music is some PANTyRaiD and similar artists. For me it gives vibes that are dark and suspenseful but also give me a serene safe feeling.

Dude, OLD radiohead? I think Everything In Its Right Place is a little more psychedelic than OK Computer. Just IMHO though, haha.

I would recommend Kid A through Hail to the Thief era Radiohead for tripping.

Bassnectar is fucking great too and any Infected Mushroom song that you haven't already heard sober
 
Animal Collective is quite excellent on acid. It actually spurred me to give them a chance when I self-purportedly hated them, now I quite like some of their stuff. Definitely recommend "Feels" and "Strawberry Jam," some of the songs you'll feel like you're being immersed in a symphony of tribal wildlife.
