Stringy bud?

Hey everyone, I've got some strange looking bud. It looks stringy and has some orange hairs in it. From the outside, it looks amazing. But, I smoked it and between me and my friend it took about .6 to get us both moderatley stoned. So... what gives? It looks great and fluffy, its dry, how could it not be great. i was thinking it was immature or something. I dont know, it was still on the stem and everything. Can somone give me some insight.
 
I really dont know how else to describe it. Imagine a stem, with sort of weed strings attached to it, almost fluffy. when i broke it apart, the strings stood together unless i pulled on them. Normally, the weed i get is 'chunky' and a bit more compressed. This stuff was fluffy and stringy. It smells and looks great. It sort of looks like this

Though, that is not my bud, just the closest i could find to it. Mine is a bit less dense with a good amount of orange hairs. Surley a grower could help me out as this stuff was supposedly home grown.

I really hope this dosent count as an identification thread. Im 99% sure this was weed and not some plant sprayed with jwh. I just dont know what was up with it as ive never seen weed like this before.
 
Ahh, i forgot. Mine has a little bit of leaves. Nothing like in the picture i posted. Maybe that is not the best picture.
 
I've definitely had bud that I would describe as "stringy", and it's almost always shit. I'm pretty sure it's a sign of a poor grow. Every once in awhile I'll get handed a bag with some "stringy" looking bud and I send it right back.

Yeah, that is pretty much what I'm thinking at this point. Oh well.
