EAST COAST: hurricane survival kit (armageddon bitch SHIT IS GOIN DOWN!!!)

To everyone on the east coast what chu doin to get ready for this hurricane?

While I'm sitting on my roof waiting for my rescue helicopter I will have:
lawn chair
umbrella
4 bottles wine
1/8 bud
Shitton of food & batteries
cigarettes
...and that's about it I think

I don't think that'll be that bad up here in the tri-state, but they made the city tolls free, shut down a part of the parkway, and are evacuating all the seniors out of NYC, staten & long island...either way people are bugging out so my question is what are guys you doin to get ready for Armageddon 2011?
 
Here in Virginia (about 60 miles direct air miles from the coast and right on the line between a "Tropical Storm Warning" and "Hurricane Warning") we've got the usual (to quite the Good Doctor) Serious Drug Collection, and we've added:

6 or so litres of bottled water
Coffee
Clonazepam
Lots of extra beer

and tonight a few (probably more than a few) packs of cigarettes will be acquired.

Looking forward to this, we'll see if the storm meets the expectations the news hype has created.
 
I mean, I don't hope for the utter catastrophic chaos they're predicting but let's just say I'm going to move my car to the place on the street where it is least likely to get hit by a falling tree and/or telephone pole....

sadly im a tad bit unprepared.

half a bottle of absolut
12 cans of twisted tea
pack of Top Menthol
~ a g of bud
and my script of gabapentin (it can be fun if you take enough)

i REALLY need to get more weed but the person who owes me money isn't around and i only have like 70 dollars. my best bet is hoping he can swim.

might snag some hydros or oxys if i can. then it MIGHT be worthwhile

I've got my kayak ready, so I may just kayak to higher ground. No waiting on the roof for me. I do have some bottles of wine and percocets ready. I am supposed to evacuate though, so I may be bringing these to a friends house.
 
I am less than a half mile from the bay. It's pretty much everyone south of a certain road are being told to evacuate, and I am south of it.
 
if i had to prepare i would have a generator or 2 first and formost with enough gas to have to run it a couple days..with that i would be able to keep my fridge cold and ice made,so i can have food and it wont go to wasteand with depending on it i might even hook up a tv cause a house full of people with no power for a couple days is gonna have everyone sressed and arguing and sure with the generator i can only bring power to the one room at least we can watch tv and movies and kill time..but come to think about it we would prolly just argue abiut what to watch..so a couple cases of both beer and water..a half oz of weed cause if you lose power a couple days you gotta do something with your time and also a jab cause gettin sick during that would be shitty

i have 1800 mgs in the xr version left and then 30 x 600mg of the instant release.

LUCKILY within 15 minutes of my last post a friend of mine + my cousin asked if i had a number for weed. i ended up getting a quarter total and ended up with ~5 g's that's a mix of some really nice haze and some legit Headband. it was 5 gs haze and 2.4 g of headband shake.

with 6 g's of weed, i think i'll survive
 
YA'LL ARE CRAZY. I was in NOLA during hurricane Katrina and all you need is to get the fuck out so nobody has to save your ass. If you are poor, start casing out drugstores and rich people's houses for looting. If you are rich, convert to judaism real quick so you can get Mossad special forces to defend your home from looters as happened in New Orleans.
 
^ I wouldn't compare the two. We are at sea level, but the water really shouldn't end up coming that far onto land. I'm evacuating though, I am too close to the water.

In one of the scenes from Tommyboy in which they are singing in the car, they sing "Come on Eileen" followed by "It's the End of the World." For the sake of the hurricane, we can substitute Eileen for Irene. ;)

I think I'd hit up the pharmacy. Be about the only time one could prolly get away with it.

Or I would have stocked up on Coke and beer and ride it out.
 
After Katrina, someone had driven a truck through the brick wall in the back of a walgreens near my house. There were tylenol and advil bottles EVERYWHERE, and empty manufacturers rX bottles would still float up out of the sewers when it would flood from rain a couple years later.

I am very excited because alarms don't work when there's no power...


And I agree with previous statements, I'm totally down to see shit get fucked up as long as nobody I know dies and I don't get hurt financially at all. I think it'll be a ball. I got some good tires on my truck if I need to go through some crazy shit.
