Opioids Methadone & Oxycontin???

Hey Peeps,

Iv just had my 1st dose of methadone - 40mg (Starting off dose,to come off heroin), consumed 2 1/2 hours ago

I have also been taking oxycontin for pain management for months now and would like to take some!

My Question is will the methadone act as a blocker at this shorter amount???

Iv heard methadone can act as an opiate blocker for 24h after ingestion, Is this true???

IME, methadone does not block opiates until you reach around 70-80mg and even when I was taking 100mg of methadone, I could still feel high doses of more potent opiates, but that is dangerous and plain stupid. Be careful man, I have overdosed twice from mixing methadone and other opiates, when I felt like the doses were not very high IMO.
 
Are you taking the OC to get high? Or is the 40mg Methadone not enough for the pain?

You are just going to raise your opioid tolerance by stacking on top of the 'done. Careful chasing the opiate high, especially on methadone. You don't want to end up at 170mg+ 'done a day, with no way to get off without being sick for months.

You are just speeding up the process of "the magic is gone"...
 
Since you created an identical thread over in basic drug discussion, I am going to close this.. Please do not cross post the same thread across multiple forums. As long as you post in the correct forum it will get the proper exposure, and if it is in the wrong place moderators will take care of it and move it. Basic dosage/effect/combination questions belong in basic drug discussion, NOT other drugs.
