2011-2012 football thread

Crap result for Arsenal today, they really need to sort out their defence.
Had high hopes this season for my team Ipswich Town. Had great first game winning 3-0 but have lost every game since then. Maybe we just need more time for our new signings to get used to playing together. They better bloody hurry up though. Just hope Norwich do shit and come straight back down.Can't have them doing better than us in the top flight.
 
I feel sorry for berbatov though, but alex is ruthless if your not up to scratch then you wont play, £30m or not. I heard he burst out into tears when he was told he wont be playing in the final lol..

our play does seem to be much better than last season, very fast one touch football etc Also isnt the average age just 22 in alot of our matches when the seniors dont come on, also phil jones being 19 is very young looks good though. good to see alot of english players also in the starting line up.
 
Don't worry, we'll find someone to carry the torch after Fergie. With a young team like that even Keegan couldn't fuck it up.

Must say, Jones and Welbeck are looking frighteningly good. Shame I don't follow the England team, but there's some great potential there. The new squad rules appear to be working.

I Think he's lost touch with whats going on, he doesn't seem concerned that our squad is in tatters , doesn't seem concerned that our best players are off , and don't appear to be replacing anyone. WTF !
Just hope i got this very wrong and the great man sorts his shit out.
Not holding my breath though. !

Just saw Di Canio's Swindon make Bristol city look poor. David James was a Horror show , he came on at half time ? and was at fault for the goal , should retire embarrasing.
I could see Di Canio's Watch Blingin from the other side of the ground , he was box office pure mentalist the main reason i went to the game .

Hmmm yeah he needs to find 2 quality CMs quickly with all that money, someone said with champions league qualification and the money from nasri and fabregas you were like £75m up? I heard wenger made a loan bid for Kaka %) but ive not heard much else, im sure youll sign someone.

I just really hope citys dodgy stadium deal gets investigated and they get done for it, theres not a chance they would pass the financial fair play rules with the wages they give there players and good, if they cant even fill wembley stadium for a derby then they dont deserve to do well. Lets hope they go down the sink with chelsea..
 
I really don't understand why wenger won't buy, there's talk of him havin trouble with the mob upstairs and that things ain't been right since David dean left.

United are carrying fukin massive debt so don't be giving it financial fair play when your running in debt .

Yeah but its not all of the clubs debt, some of the debt is the glazers and if they do decide to float part of the club on the market to completley sell off the debt then the next season we will be turning over profit instantley. We turnover the most amount of money in the whole of the premier league, commerical turnover and tv rights, ticket sales is increasing each year.

Most "neutrals" if you can even call them that are just people who hate utd for no reason apart from they hate the success that they have, you dont see people hoping city or chelsea lose every game do you even though uniteds given football more than them 2 teams ever will..

Not really "worried" about them winning anything, they won the FA cup there first trophy in 35 odd years and good for then, id expect nothing less for the money theyve spent, the way they just buy and dipose of players though like its nothing is silly. Do you really think theyd be spending all this money on players if they didnt have a plan on how to bypass the rules, theyre trying to be a big club when really theyre just another shit club with lots of money

Why are Rangers in the Europa League? ( to be accurate, knocked out of the Europa League) As Scottish champions, don't they qualify for the Champions League? Were they knocked out of that as well?

A sad night for Scotland. But what a result for Birmingham. Relegated, near bankruptcy and, if the charges against owner Yeung stick, soon to be the property of the Chinese government, they nonetheless win 3-0 against Nacional in front of a 27,000 crowd at St Andrews.
