I am sorry if this has been discussed. It is late and I have been up for two days so forgive me for not searching through everything.

I have been taking watson's 5mg/500 vicodin for awhile now. I was diagnosed with lupus and have been having pain. whatever... I need them.

So I have been getting 90 5mg's forever.. I call in a refill to my pharmacy they call the dr to confirm.. bingo I am a pretty comfy.

they are normally white, oblong and have a v one one side and 347? or something like that on the other side.

I usually plug because I have wicked stomach ulcers and well sometimes I just need it to hit faster. I deal with a lot of pain so the faster the better.

Now today I went in to the pharmacy I have been getting my pills at forever.. and took my bag home.. opened it.. The label says the same thing it always says.. But the pills are different.. I have 90 large pink pills one side a V and the other side a 3600. Google tells me these are 10mg/500. So apparently my pharm has fucked up? Giving me pills 2x stronger the normal? Now inside I am like WOOT! Twofor! but I am also a little concerned .. Do I phone them and say there was a mistake or pretend it never happened? Can I get into trouble over this?

And also.. can I still plug these? They are not some new weird thing that would like be unpluggable? I could eat them but tylenol and Ibuprofren are murder on my belly...

So.. what to do?

TIA for any advice.

Can you get in trouble for taking your pills as directed? No. I don't think they expect people to google search the imprint of the pills that they are given from their pharmacy.

Thanks.. Now I feel stupid lol. I guess the paranoid freak inside me is like.. they are gonna call and when they do they are going to say "You need to bring them all back". I have no clue why. Sorry. It was kinda like finding a 20 on the street ya know? You look around.. grab it up and run! lol. I am a dork. Have a good day and thank you very much for such a quick reply.

Now if anyone knows if plugging is the same? that would rock.

Those pink 10/500's seem to be a very popular prescription lately... *Cough* I've had a similar experience once, my doc prescribed me some Fiorinal #3's a while back, which is supposed to have codeine and butalbital in em, but the pharmacy gave me the ones without codeine. I was rather pissed, but was too paranoid to correct them... :|

I am keeping my mouth shut! Thank you. I think if my Dr had changed my prescription the bottle would reflect that. But it still says watsons 5mg/500 So i am guessing it was an error. A good error!

Enjoy!

I got lucky from the pharmacy this week as well - they didn't have enough pills to fill my Opana script so my pharmacist just advanced me 10 pills for the day and said to come back the next day for the full refill. And when I got my "full refill" it was indeed the 120 pills...so I ended up with an extra 10.

I guess the gods of opioid scripts are smiling. :)
