Yeah, it sounds to me like your tolerance is just too high, especially if you've been taking Morphine and Dilaudid for an extended period of time. Obviously they're both much stronger than hydrocodone.
That being said... dude. Be careful with the Vicodin. I already posted my story on here in another thread, so I won't go into it again and I'll just give you the gist of it. But when I was kicking Suboxone, I took five Vicodin. Okay? FIVE. I used to take upwards of 25 per day. I took five of the 5/500's to try to stave off the withdrawals. Did it work? Yeah. But after they wore off, I couldn't handle the withdrawals anymore and called my doctor- who suggested I go to the hospital, claiming they could help me with my withdrawals since it was the weekend, I believe, and he couldn't do anything about it just then. So I went to the hospital in the hopes that I was going to get some sort of relief from my withdrawals, and guess what happened instead? The nurse comes in an hour later telling me I might need a liver transplant, that my tylenol toxicity level was abnormally high, and I then ended up in the ICU. They refused to give me ANY meds at all, not even benzo's (which I badly needed), because they're metabolized through the liver or something. I had to drink like five cups of some nasty liquid that smelled and tasted like rotten eggs. So on top of dealing with the stress of the doctors telling me I could die, I was now also being forced to deal with full-blown withdrawals without any sort of help whatsoever. No benzo's, nothing.
It was horrible and easily one of the worst nights of my life, and this was only from 2500 mg of tylenol. Ibuprofen isn't as toxic as tylenol, but it CAN still cause damage to other organs (mainly the kidneys and stomach, I believe.) I'm just saying... be careful when it comes to hydrocodone with additives. No matter how bad your withdrawals are, it's not worth a possible trip to the ICU from an accidental overdose.
Is there any way you can stick it out until you get your meds tomorrow? I don't know how bad morphine + dilaudid withdrawals are, as I've never been through them... but one day should certainly be manageable. If anything, just take a benzo or two if you have them around... drink a lot of water... even Immodium helps. Whatever you decide though, best of luck to you. Look on the bright side dude, at least you know you're going to feel 100% better tomorrow, despite how crappy you feel right now. That should make it a bit more bearable, if nothing else... at least it's a little ray of hope.
