LSD Makes Me Sick Everytime

A bit of background information is probably needed to make things easier so:
I've been taking acid for a few years now, lost count of the amount of times I've tripped and love the stuff. Psychedelics are my favourite kind of drugs and LSD is up there at the top. A while back I decided to start using (some of you should recognize the blotter) Alex Grey / Ganesha blotter really frequently for my trips. These blotter are renowned for their inky taste on the blotter (before anyone posts, no these are not RC!); it was all good at the start and I began to dose these trips regularly, they were good as the dose on each blotter was fairly consistent and good that you could easily try higher doses without having to half blotter, etc. So as I began to dose higher (say 3 tabs+) I began to really notice the taste of the ink, so much so that after a while these blotter began to make me sick.

This now has become something that happens on every single acid trip I have, within two hours of dosing I end up with a real nausea feeling and eventually I throw up until my body can be sick no more. It's almost like my body is attempting to completely purge myself of the acid inside. So, when this started to happen I began to think that possibly it could be due to the tabs and their taste starting to sicken me, so I moved on to different blotter - same result (had two different types since, one of very high quality). I decided, maybe I was taking too much LSD at the time, so took a few months break - same result. So finally I realized that it could be that I inevitably knew I was going to be ill when I took acid and so it just happened each time, so to counter this I made sure I was ready for a trip, was aware that I wouldn't be sick, etc - same result.

It's almost like LSD doesn't go with me anymore. So my main question is, does anyone know of anything I could take beforehand or during the trip to prevent nausea/sickness that wont affect the LSD, allowing me to enjoy my trips again without a guranteed sickness? On some psychedelics sickness is guaranteed, but with acid it shouldn't be happening and I'd really like to find a way to enjoy my comeup and first half of my trip without it being filled with complete nausea and feeling all round terrible. Just something to ease my stomach, weed does not help even though it tends to normally.

Weird, I had those Ganesha's a couple of months ago, then a week or two ago got my hands on some Shiva's that were equally as nice and my friend who has taken acid countless time had a stomach ache from it :/ we cant pin down the reason either maybe it was just a stomach ache :P

I originally thought it was due to the tabs, but since trying other tabs (that I know are from different labs) I've had the same result. :(

I do have a stomach problem at the moment. However, this problem has been going on for a long, long time I would say at least 8-12 months now. I think the main thing I need is some sort of pharmaceutical or herbal remedy that I could buy at a local pharmacy, etc, that would help ease my stomach. I am pretty sure I've heard of things like this before, I'm just unaware of what they actually are; also I'd like advise from someone knowledgeable as I don't want it to interact with my trip by potentiating/weakening it.

i have encountered this problem, but only in certain circumstances.
i have only ended up violently ill from taking acid when my body overheats. i'm talking about the australian summer - even at night, but there have been times that i've been wandering around my neighbourhood, stepped back into my apartment, felt a little warm then *BLERRGH* - start puking and it's all over.
so i don't know if this body temperature thing applies to you at all?

another thing i've done recently, having read theories about the ingestion of ink, is that i no longer swallow tabs. as soon as i can feel the acid coming on, and/or i get sick of the paper under my tongue, i spit it out.
it is hard to know what the cause of intestinal discomfort etc is, especially under the influence of such a mind-bending chemical, but i feel like the more safeguards you can take against adverse reactions, the better.
while these may not be very helpful suggestions...i thought i'd throw them out there.
since it is winter in australia, and i've been spitting my tabs out after ~30 min, i've had very little problem in my last 6 months of tripping (20 or so trips). it could just be that i'm getting cleaner stuff, or that my body is dealing with it better...but yeah, that has been my experience.
good luck man, i'd hate to think that you could be robbed of such a beautiful thing, especially if you love LSD like i do.

Your best bet is to look for generic Zofran (ondansetron) from an overseas pharmacy. I doubt you'll find OTC or herbal remedies effective, but give them a shot just in case. Ondansetron is a 5HT-3 antagonist, and it is likely LSD's 5HT-3 agonism is causing your nausea. Unlike most other common anti-emetics, ondansetron should not have many or any psychoactive effects of its own to skew the trip. Selective 5HT-3 antagonists are generally considered ideal for psychedelic nausea of all kinds.

perhaps a TINY bit of dramamine will help, but i know that it is a deliriant in higher doses. also smoke a bit of weed before the dose kicks in maybe? i took a shiva dose the other night and ate a meal right after dosing and was nauseous for about an hour. the acid feels pretty clean though (despite the weird inky taste). one thing ive become more aware of when i trip is when i decide to eat that day. eat too early, i get tired, sore, and get stomach cramps. eat too much too close to the trip and i get nauseous. hope you can find away around feeling sick! feeling nauseous when tripping can be real annoying.

i second the ginger and peppermint suggestion...but i also suggest them in the form of a tea. drink it while you're coming up, and it should help at least a bit. maybe just one of the two, try em out seperately i'd suggest.

i had a friend who threw up on any psychedelic he took....lol, i think it just happens to some people. it almost seemed anxiety-induced for him though, when he'd come up hard, or mid-way in the peak he'd get overwhelmed and start puking.

Yeah the puking might actually be influenced by your thoughts while on the trip itself.
I have a friend who pukes on everything, but I'm sure it's only because he thinks about it, and the fact he's in a trippy mindset doesn't help.

I've puked on LSD once of the three times i've done actual LSD
this was by far my best LSD experience also..

It seemed that smoking the herbal blend mr. nice guy when I was coming up on the LSD triggered me to throw up.
Which was strange because I had smoked the blend plenty of times before with no negative stomach effects.

Oh well, damn good LSD and didn't taste like a thing, in fact it wasn't even on a 'commercial' inked blotter.

My theory:

The Alex Grey / Ganesha blotter paper was printed with an ink that was slightly toxic. Every time you took LSD, you would begin to feel ill due to your body rejecting the toxic ink. Because this would consistently happen directly after coming up on LSD, you underwent something called "classical conditioning", in which some stimulus (tripping on acid) begins to create a psychological response (sickness), simply because the two are often linked.

Classical conditioning is a well-documented phenomenon, and probably one of the earliest observations in human and animal psychology. The way you break the conditioning? You've got to stop associating LSD with that blotter ink. Start spitting out your blotter after 20 minutes or so, rather than swallowing it. Or, better yet, just take liquid L. Eventually, your body will learn that LSD is not necessarily connected to the toxicity of the ink, and you'll stop becoming nauseous. It might take a few trips, though -- it generally takes longer to "unlearn" these instinctive responses than to acquire them.

i have found over the few years i have taken acid i found my self in a simalar postion and felt sick on this drug. one of the main things i have discovered about this drug is you control a lot of what is happeing in the trip than you might think. if you begin to lock on to a bad trip the only way to get your self outa the bad trip is to bring your self outa it if that makes sence. i worked this out after having a few bad trips. acid has made me feel and be sick in the same way. I worked out if you convince youre self you dont feel sick you wont feel sick. this has worked for me before. with acid its all MIND over MATTER. its not the drug makeing you feel sick its you makeing youre self feel sick in my opinion. on the other hand every body is diffrent and you may not be able to convice youre self you dont feel sick.

i have taken domperidone many times when ive have taken really unclean pills. one of these badboys stops me chugging very quick and i have a very temprimental stomach

This is what I was considering. I was planning to grab some microdots and see if taking LSD in a different way will sort things out, I don't enjoy taking blotter and I think the above really is the problem although I've tried hard to avoid it. Hopefully I'll get positive results this way. :)

Thanks for all the responses so far and keep them coming.

this. but sometimes i get a sickly feeling from just acid reflux (first post but this pun must've been made a million times here) - so something like ranitidine a half hour before dropping, or maybe even just rennies could help

When I started tripping, I got lower grade acid, I know now because of the body load. Anyway, at the time I was ingesting these blotters fairly regularly, I was not yet a member of bluelight, nor was I knowledgeable. I always noticed that I would "feel" say my stomach where its at, or maybe my lungs where they're at in my body. I would just noticed internal organs for some weird reason and its not really something I ever really pay attention to otherwise. Eventually, when I got different dose, I sort of expected a body load and when it wasn't there, I enjoyed it but thought it was strange. Now I know that a body load of that nature isn't normal for LSD.
