Question about "base" speed

Hello,

I'm from the UK and soon I will be getting some "base", which comes in a kind of putty that looks like playdough. I've only done it orally before, but I want to snort it this time. What's the fastest way to dry it out into snortable powder? I've also heard this can make it a lot less potent - is this true??

Freeze it until you use it, don't dry it! If you dry it all the freebase amphetamine evaporates :(
 
"BASE" amphetamine is usually an ugly paste consisting of amphetamine suphate, water, and glucose... Drying it out will drive off water mass but amphetamine shouldn't be that volatile. It will turn io a crusty and probably snortable powder

You can always try plugging it.

A better way to handle it would be to do a proper acid/base extraction and end up with nice clean amphetamine HCl or e.g. citrate.
 
Ah, I was under the impression that 'base' is actual freebase amphetamine not a salt. Is true 'base' ever seen on the streets?
 
Freebase amphetamine is a corrosive stinky liquid at standard temperature and pressure - you tell me. It's a bit of a fucked up myth that people actually sell "base" and that it can't "dry out" - think about it, 1 gram of water is just 1ml... not a lot, but it costs much less than a gram of amph.

So what's the best way to dry it out? Just leave it under a lamp? Unfortunately my chemistry knowledge is so sparse even an acid/base extraction might be out of the remit of my abilities...
 
Indeed. With added caramel-goodness Nasal bioavailability is higher tho.

The state of UK speed really is a shambles but at least it often doesn't need wrapping in rizla to swallow as it tastes so sweet..

I can usually dry most stuff out sufficiently by just leaving it out on a plate, but a lamp would def speed things up. I wouldn't attempt oven or microwave!
 
literally just leave it out of the wrap/cling whatever at room temperature. it dries out quick and can be racked up into lines. personally though i wouldn't recommend amphetamine.

It doesn't. Base is the worst upper I've ever had, with the worst comedown to boot. I only did it a couple of times, it made me restless, jittery, paranoid and unsatisfied with everything I decided to do. There was a bit of euphoria at one stage, but generally it wasn't a good experience. I don't know if it was because of the purity (or lack of) or simply because I don't enjoy the drug, I never touched it again so don't have any other batches to compare it to. I know lots of people who love it though, so maybe it's just me.
 
is this form of "base" comparable to what crack cocaine is to pure ( if there is such a thing ) cocaine?
 
Not at all, freebase cocaine is a solid. Freebase amphetamine is a liquid so you'll almost never see it on the street.

Crack cocaine = freebase cocaine = 'pure' cocaine
Powder cocaine = cocaine salt = cocaine hydrochloride
