So on Saturday night (sunday morning) at 1am I took one molly. 2 hours later, I really didn't feel it and my 2 other girlfriends had said the same thing so we each took one more. At this point it's 3am and the "club" is closing, I didn't really drink much alcohol maybe like 2 drinks. Around 430 I really started to feel fucked up. We went to the after hours, all the people we were with were rolling and we all felt like everyone was staring at us wherever we went..which I'm not sure if it's true haha. But I definitely felt like it. So anyways around 530-9am all I kept saying was I am so fucked up. I really could not form complete sentences and it would take me forever to say "I'm........so.........................fucked up" it was like the craziest thing ever. Now my problem is that it is Tuesday. Sunday I felt literally retarded I didn't sleep til 1230 the next day for 3 hours. I felt like I was never going to be normal again. Now when I'm off to work on Monday 7am, I can't walk normally. My legs keep spazzing out and feel like they're straightening out? Without my control. I felt like I couldn't stay balanced or like I was going to fall and wobble all over the place. Literally felt like a weirdo in the streets of NY at 7am. I keep twitching and my arms and hands reflex all out of wack and it doesn't make any sense. My lips are still shaking it feels like my whole body is trembling. And my eyes feel like they are moving my vision is totally messed up when I stare at the screen I start seeings weirdw aves of something like see through light I don't know how to explain it. So the reason for my post is I've been very worried since 7 am sunday and have spent all of today and yesterday at work googling this ALL my friends feel normal now I am the only one who is not> So does anyone think this is Serotonin Syndrome? What should I do?

Umm does this sound like semi normal after affects for Molly ? I just want to know how long til it goes away

I was merely responding to your thoughts that you could rule out serotonin syndrome because that would certainly get worse.

If things continue into tomorrow, I'd certainly seek medical help. Nothing to worry about imo; but better be safe than sorry.

There is no way for anybody to tell what you took, read the rules.

Oh, sorry.. I guess I included way too much information. I just wanted to know if the Serotonin Syndrome gets worse if you do have it. I have taken Molly before and this hasn't happened so I am assuming it was cut with something I've never taken. So how could you possibly know? I guess not just wanted to see if the symptoms were familiar to anyone else & what they might of done.

This does not sound like molly. Did it feel like you were rolling? Cuz if your that messed up on mdma youd be saying things along the lines of. I feel so fucked, i feel SO fucking good.

Sound like just some stimulant your not used to, you could go get medical help, personally I'd try to take care of myself and wait it out.

It is very unlike molly to have you feeling nothing for 2 hours, unless you were like mega full, but even then. very very unlikely.

I experience the see through light thing and the eyes moving around. even one year after i stopped taking x/molly it hasnt gone away. honestly i dont think its anything to worry about. yeah its fucking distracting but the more you accept it the less your bothered by it. probably some sort of hppd?

It's common to freak out and check out every symptom of a drug related ailment when you are coming down- though you may have some lingering negative effects, 3 days is hardly any amount of time to expect yourself to recover within. In the meantime, only time, sleep, and exercise will help you. If you are genuinely concerned, the only way to truly alleviate your concerns and determine what is going on is to seek medical attention.

PlzGoAway - I can help.

You did not experience Serotonin Syndrome, at least technically speaking.
It is characterized by SUDDEN onset of tachycardia - meaning you feel FINE one minute, then you are dying of a HEART-ATTACK the next (feels like it).
This is considered a primary symptom, so if you didn't have an extremely fast heart-beat combined with INTENSE anxiety and fear of death...you didn't have SS.

However, Serotonin Syndrome and MDMA toxicity overlap in many ways.
Many of the symptoms of SS actually occur in MDMA users when they roll - muscle tightness/rigidity/jaw clenching, rise in body temperature, intestinal discomfort, anxiety, inability to urinate due to anti-diuretic hormone.

The difference is in the scale - SS is on the severe/life-threatening end. Rolling is not.
But the toxic effects of repeated dosing on MDMA accumulates, and some of the symptoms you are experiencing exist along this spectrum.

In the first week of my comedown, 9 months ago, I remember strange tightness in my legs too.
It was so bad that I found myself pointing my toes on both feet, like a fucking ballerina.
It went away in a few days.

My eyes were wobbly for a week, maybe two.
This is called nystagmus and it can be a sign of neurological problems.
It is common among amphetamine users - but don't worry, it goes away quickly.

What may not go away so quickly is HPPD.
Everything appears like it is further away then it should be, almost on a movie screen or behind a sheet of glass.
It is accompanied by spatial distortions, that are similar to feeling dizzy...but not quite.
Even IF you have HPPD, it will also go away.
For me by 3 months, it was easily tolerated....95% gone by 5 months.

Your muscle tremors are called myoclonus, and they are of little concern as well - as long as they aren't getting WORSE.
If any of your symptoms are getting WORSE over time, you should go to the hospital.
They need to rule out other medications that contribute to serotonin activity.
If you are taking 5-HTP, I highly recommend you stop.
Plenty of people recommend it on BL wihtout understanding the risk involved.
It has been associated with SS.
Anti-depressants, MAOIs, tramadol, high-dose benedryl....these all have the capacity to contribute to SS or NMS.

Again, if your symptoms are slowly improving, going to the hospital is not necessary.
Most on BL like to suggest it, but I can attest to the helplessness of the hospital - unless you are experiencing serious symptoms.
The first treatment is ALWAYS lowering body temperature when it comes to MDMA or Serotonin Syndrome.
Then they slowly introduce saline (electrolytes) if you have too much water in your bloodstream.

For anxiety they typically give a benzo, and if the condition is serious or not responding to treatment, they administer a serotonin antagonist.
This blocks the action of MDMA or other serotonin agonists that may be present, but this is not typically given as most cases resolve with supportive measures.
And THAT is what they will tell you - without tachycardia, panic, or fever...they won't do anything but run blood tests and charge your insurance a few grand.

Just make sure you aren't taking anything to 'help' that you don't understand.
Fish oil helps...as does turmeric extract with black pepper.
It is a powerful anti-inflammatory both in the intestines and the brain.
You can take regular turmeric if you have it, but it doesn't absorb well - so take it with black pepper and ginger.
This should make you feel better.

Another option is Piracetam.
It increases the availability of neurotransmitters and it made me feel GREAT when I first discovered it.
It made me feel NORMAL after a month of HELL.
But it isnt a true cure, in the end.
Neither are SSRIs, so don't be talked into using them by a 'doctor'.

MDMA selectively damages serotonin axons in the frontal lobes.
It also de-activates the enzyme used to synthesize more serotonin, causing a drop in global supply.
This disrupts blood flow in various brain regions, including the visual cortex.

It is agreed upon by researchers that MDMA 're-wires' the brain.
It is rare, but some people experience increases in blood flow to regions of their brain for months - up to a year or more.
As serotonin re-innervates the brain, small blood vessels are being redistributed in the process.
Serotonin not only plays a tug-of-war with blood vessels, it also modulates dopamine.
It is the loss of dopamine activity in higher brain regions, along with a relative increase in lower regions, that causes psychosis in some users.
It is similar to schizophrenia and some of the patients exhibit panic and anxiety that is easily confused with schizo.

Are you having EXTREME anxiety?
If not, you are going to be FINE. Soon.

Lots of research has shown that long-term heavy users of marijuana were the MOST likely to have significant emotional problems from MDMA.
While extent of MDMA use predicts the cognitive deficit, it is the extent of WEED that predicts emotional/psychological deficit.

Even IF you were a heavier user of BOTH and experiencing REAL panic...
You are going to be OK.
I promise.

LOTS of research also demonstrates that recovery occurs within 12-18 months in the VAST majority of users. Even heavy users.
That is the worst case scenario - and I can attest to the fact that it gets much BETTER with time.

There is a good chance that you will be fine within a few weeks, maybe a month or two.
My experience says that if you haven't come out of it by 2 months, you may be looking at the 12 month plan.
So don't freak out too much - I did all the research I could manage.
If you want to read WAY too much information without having to find it yourself - look into my post history.
There is a LOT there.

Word of advice - eat VERY healthy and exercise.
Serotonin exists for the primary purpose of contracting the smooth muscle around the intestines.
Its effects on the brain are astounding, but the intestines come first.

You need to eat LOTS of fruits and veggies, along with a variety of easily digested proteins.
Fish is the BEST, and you should be taking fish oil EVERY day. Got it?
Avoid carbs, especially crappy ones like french fries, chips, and sweets.
Carbohydrates increase serotonin activity in the brain - NOT what you want right now.
Complex carbs are MUCH better - uncooked potatoes or cooked sweet potatoes are a great example.
Just take it EASY on the intestines right now, it will help.

Try your best to sleep - lots of people have trouble sleeping during this process, because serotonin modulates sleep as well.
And don't forget the exercise. Even if you can only manage a little bit - it will make you feel a LOT better. I promise.
Exercise causes a protein known as BDNF, or brain-derived neutrophic factor, to be released in the brain.
This actually sends STEM CELLS into several key parts of the brain, including those damaged by MDMA.

Remember, you are going to be OK.
It might take longer than you want it to, but you will not spend the rest of your life like this.
It just doesn't work that way.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
Good luck.
