Some Bukowski influences (booze, women), and some influences from a greek dark poet(cops, psychiatrists) that commited suicided at the age of 31 through barbiturates OD

Advices (Συμβουλές Translated)

Enough!
Fed up with
psychiatrists
Fed up with
cops
Eager
to stuff you with meds
Eager
to kick and punch you

Enough!
Fed up with
their diagnoses, their DSMs
depression,manic depression,psychosis,stress disorder
SSRis,antipsychotics,benzos
They should stick them all up their ass
Zoloft,Haldol,Xanax
To increase bioavailability
Sick them all up their ass, shouldn't they?

It's a simple cure
Don't think of HER
Especially if she's an ex
Fuck many females
Drink lots of beers
Keep some moderation though
Avoid smoking
especially nicotine - it's gross
Fuck many females
Brunettes,blondes,redheads
Doesn't matter

That's your therapy
And long walks
With mates punks and freaks
And talks and fun and jokes
And the black rum flowing
plenty
in your long and narrow glass

I assume that the harsh, disjointed tone was in the original Greek? Because it sounds like the author is more convincing their own self more than anyone else, out of pain that refuses to exorcise itself. I enjoy it.

Hm I think so I am not really sure I get exactly what you mean, care to rephrase/elaboratE? If you knew Greek I could give you the part I was influenced from!

Yeah that's true, spot on!

I guess another term to explain would be constructed like rapid-fire thoughts collected onto the paper - they have a unifying theme, but purposely feel disconnected. And I don't know Greek to save my life. But I really enjoy the poem.

That's true that greek poet has that , I think Bukowski has that too, on the other side I have this characteristic even more than the former !

Good to know you enjoy the poem, I am rather satisfied with this one although I regard most of my poems as mediocre
