Majority of Americans Ready to Legalize Marijuana

I think central banking and trade is a gigantic scam to make money off people and over time the scam has evolved into epic proportions of corruption since the 80's when investment banks started using computer trading platforms to trade ETF's with an 85-95% chance of making money (works pretty good in extremely high volume). They can also crash the market evidently as seen on May 6 last year.

On the note of Central Banking needing to find it's way out of our lives, and ways to fix it....

^If Obama is not the Democratic candidate in 2012, you can say hello to president Perry.

Ron Paul 2012 yo!

But seriously, even if you don't agree with all of his views, he's the closest thing to a legitimate constitutional American we have

Well, actually, the government is only losing money by keeping them illegal, and at the end of the day corporations and the "powers that be" that profit from prohibition, will ultimately have to learn to deal with the demand of the people. As cost ineffective as it is now, the War on Drugs will only continue to be more of a burden than a blessing for the American tax payer, and once enough people start voicing their opinions and demand a reform of the country's drug policies, it will happen. This drug war is not indefinitely-sustainable, and one way or another, it will end. The only people hindering that now are special interest groups and defeatist attitudes like yours who think change is impossible.

Well its not just the over inflated prices the drugs sell for they want to protect (as most of us know the "powers that be" in gov't are the ones bringing in the heroin, selling it to you, taking your money, and then locking you in a cage and taking away all your rights and freedom). Its also the War on Drugs that they want to protect. B/c the war on drugs is just a manipulation to take away more of our freedoms and another excuse for them to lock you in a cage if they want to.

Well, you're saying a bunch of ridiculous things. Things which may sound plausible when stoned, but don't really make a whole lot of sense to the sober. No offense, it's just...c'mon.

In the online survey of a representative national sample of 1,003 American adults

only 1,003 people??? and they are saying a majority of Americans???? that's like .0000000001% of the American population (just the US not counting Canada/Mexico or the rest of America)

they need a serious survey, one people vote for.

Garbage Artical

Maybe not smoke so much of the Herbals, k bud?
i agree with him that prohibition is all about authority... and the US's (and especially other governments) involvement in trafficking is on the record... so he should keep on toking and you should pick up a joint, too?

They said it's a representative sample. That's not uncocmmon for statistics.

exaggerate much? it's actually about 0.00033% of the u.s. population and, depending on how the sample was selected, it could be a perfectly accurate representation of how the nation is thinking on the issue.

you do understand how sampling works? they're not suggesting that 1003 people is a majority of americans. they're saying the majority of the sample can be extrapolated to draw conclusions about the majority of americans.
they need a serious survey, one people vote for.
that's not a survey, that's a ballot. here's a definition: statistical survey

Have you read any of the news on what the government is doing in Afghanistan the last 10 years? Protecting the crops... This is no conspiracy theory this is plain hard fact. There is no being stoned about this. Corrupt interests are behind the drug war. The US military actually trained most of the founding cartel members of Los Zetas and probably others. The ATF has been running guns straight to the cartels.

Wars are always all about corruption. Whether it's civil war to end corruption, or attacking another country for corrupt reasons, or making corporations and their big shareholders, every war has to do with corruption. It's always about money/power/greed

Obama certainly has been a republican, and definitely has no conviction about ending the war on drugs. I want a president that gives Marc Emery a full presidential pardon, as well as a pardon to any other non-violent drug offender.

And it's a fact that California's recent legalization legislation, which lost, was fought by funding from beer and ciggarette companies. Just think of all the profit Viagra would lose, were marijuana legal. Aspirin wouldn't sell anymore. Ambien and other sleeping medications wouldn't sell. The whole slew of failed and semi failed antidepressants would tank. Tons of people would stop taking opiate painkillers. Marijuana Legalization=death to big Pharmaceuticals. Damn, come to think of it, pharmaceutical companies would have to produce drugs that actually worked! They might even have to use the *gasp* scientific method in their potential drug studies! How terrible!

Actually on a federal level, I'd say cig and beer companies do want to continue the status quo, but on a state level, I'd say the biggest opponents of legalization are people from the growing/dispensing business and street level dealers.
