Kat: Good luck with he court thing. I got charges dropped back in 94'- The people of CA never filed- might have been a court swamped with other stuff (Rodney King Riot theing). Then I did swallow most of the evidence.

But got pissed tested. The case was suspended at the araignment. Now a government that has the time to fuck with drug charges at a time like I've heard is going off in the UK, London, ect... Is a Crown in need of the Guillotine... for fucks sake don't they have anything better to do... and worry about cannabis charges... I known I come from CA that has a different outlook toward cannabis. At any rate good luck and may God help you as I have inadequate understanding of the British legal system ( though from what I hear it seem to be getting more and more fucked up and authoritarian every day.)
The people of the UK like the people of the rest of the "free world" got to stop putting up with this Global BS- considering whats going on.
You know I had a thought...aint on the street...but the dope fiends maybe should volunteer their help to shopkeepers, residents in effected areas of the rioting...Could cause a whole paradigm shift on how The People (never mind the crown) of the UK regard dope fiends- and be vocal about it. Terrorizing struggling shopkeepers does not seem cool. Offering them protection- I know that people have jobs and life problems... but I don't know, I have met some ritcheously cool people on this thread.
Humanizing dope fiends... thats gonna be a tough sell but this is an opportunity.
No struggling shop keeper deserves to get their livelyhoods fucked with (I'm guesssing its mostly the Football Hooligan crowd, like the dude that was the alki in the Irvine Welsh novel, I am stuck on the fuckin name bout dope fiends in Edinburgh...but I think the bloakes name was Begsbey).
Any rate... I aint there... careful it doesn't give them a reason to demonize dope fiends. Funny, the Rodney King Riots weren't so much about the case, as a community sick of being oppressed. The Cheif of Police of LA testified in front of Congress that addicts should be executed "because they are commiting treason and this (the drug war) is a war." His contemporary, Joseph P Mc Namarra, Chief of Police of San Jose, CA (the Silicon Valley) and a vocal critic of the drug war during the Reagan years, enjoyed the least dangerous major city in terms of violent crimes, ect... the Irish -American had his priorities straight (this is according to FBI's statics (I know I've mentioned this ad nauseuem).
So consider being part of the solution...but be safe...sounds like its scarry out there according to the BBC World Services...But from what I read and have read on this thread and EADD... Scotland Yard, ect, have been fomenting discontent with all the busts and heat...but I'm not there, "use is"... to employ East Coast jargon... whats going on.
I'm serious....this could be good PR for the dope fiends. When you protest, if you do...always stay non-violent...mainatining the moral high ground is a good thing.
Good luck and blessings for my cousins across the pond.
