Deliriant effect on DXM?

When I took a low-mid 2nd plateau dose, it wasn't fun at all. I felt extremely confused, hardly knew what was going on, my vision was badly doubled, and I was in a 'dream state' of mind.

By dream state I mean like I believed very odd things(similar how to the most bizarre things in dreams seem real), like if someone walked up and told me an army of pink trees are about to take over the world, I would have believed them.

What you are describing are pretty classic symptoms of a dxm trip......it is a powerful dissociative and can make you feel like that. It is not a deleriant, but if you take high enough doses it may cause some delirious effects I suppose.

That sounds like a dissociative experience to me.
Some people just don't enjoy dissociatives. You may be one of them.

Deleriant experiences are characterized by two major things for me: public nudity or other outright insanity, and memory loss.

Sounds fairly typical for mid-high 2nd plateau experience. Dissociatives can definitely produce weird, dreamlike trains of thought, and make you willing to accept ideas that would normally seem like utter nonsense. In a deliriant experience, those dreamlike thoughts become dreamlike experiences - the classic sign of delirium is hallucinating real-world objects and people and believing they are real, even if that is obviously impossible (dead friends/family, objects that clearly don't belong in that place/setting, etc.). Instead of just being in a mental state where you would believe it if a friend happened to walk up and say something totally ridiculous, a deliriant could cause you to actually see a friend who isn't there standing in front of you, have an in-depth conversation that doesn't make sense which you accept as if you were dreaming, and you might even see that army of pink trees out your window! There are definitely some similarities between deliriant experiences and dissociative ones, but the main defining trait that sets deliriants apart is having auditory and/or visual hallucinations that are completely indistinguishable from reality.

That's DXM, man. Personally, I never advocate DXM as a recreational substance as I think anyone who spends too much time in that state of mind might be seriously psychologically-affected, but it can be interesting and beneficial under the right circumstances. Please read up on, and educate yourself about DXM before further experimenting with it. Even though its a relatively safe drug, humans have a remarkable potential for stupidity and you never know how you'll react if a trip turns south on you. If you thought the second plateau was rough, dosing any higher would probably scare the shit outta you (I've been there), so I think its best to exercise caution and dose responsibly. Stay hydrated, take a vitamin supplement before you trip, and be smart.
