Opioids IM Shot mishap

So i couldnt register my shot of micron filtered morphine, so I IM'd into my bicep (like a flu shot)
Stupid huh. I pushed it in slowly but after i pulled out the rig, there was a bubble in my bicep.....
Its gone now, I currently have a warm compress on it. Aproximately 2.5 ml

Was completely painless

Is there anything else I can do apart from seeing a doctor if anything else adverse happens?

Not really, a warm compress and perhaps antibiotic ointment. Keep an eye out for redness or swelling, especially if it spreads from the area.

How long was your needle? It is possible it was a subcutaneous injection, or quite possibly was just a histamine release.

If you injected and filtered properly, you should have nothing to worry about.

injection site looks fine. a bit tender, like when i had my flu shot.
needle was only 13mm long, so it was quite possibly a subcutaneous shot.

keeping up with the warm compression.

i actually have a doctors appointment for the morning so if it turns sour i could
get him to have a look.

Will do. Glad you're okay, though. At least you made the solution as sterile/safe as possible, which is ideal for an IM injection. That said, a warning to others - IMing street drugs/pills WITHOUT micron filtering is incredibly dangerous and you are asking for an abscess. If you find the need to IM street drugs please invest in bacteriostatic water, and micron filters to make the solution as safe as possible.
