[MEGA] Edibles/Oral Cannabis

Yeah, i skip the microwave part..i tried it once but i dont think its necessary..so long as it comes out kinda crunchy you know its cooked...and if you keep it under 330F height you shoudnt burn it...

Weed Butter?

I have a question about making butter with my trim. I have trim from 10 plants in 2 brown bags. They've been in a dark cold low humidity grow tent for 5 days (been shaking the bag up a bit every so often). They are crisp and seem ready to be placed in jars (if I was going to redistribute the moisture them and smoke them after).. I plan on using a crockpot, on low setting, 1lb of butter to every 1 oz. of trim for 12-24 hours. Should I also add water to the crockpot? Also, am I on the right track otherwise? Any help would help! Thank You :)

I wouldn't add water, otherwise, it depends on how dank your trim is and how chronic you want/need your butter to be. Your on the right track with the crock pot, timing of cooking, and storing location. I usually use a stovetop and about 4 oz trim per 30 or so edibles. I don't know anything about curing after plant gathering as somebody else does the growing and curing. Good luck!

Hey...
Thanks for the no water suggestion. I had a feeling it wouldn't be a good idea.
I have my butter cooking, the crockpot is on "low" temp. but is boiling a little bit. I keep turning it off and on to maintain no boiling situation... but it it suppose to be boiling? I've had it in there for 4 hours.

Okay. Last time I did 2,5g hash for me and 1,5 hash for my girlfriend and we did it in a pot on the stove together with some milk and butter. The hasch was I dunno, maybe a 5 out of 10 at best. My GF thought the effects were a bit too strong and I thought they were too weak.

This time we have an oven and we have top notch weed from Canada; Jack Herrer. This weed should be a 9 out of 10 if not a 10. I'm thinking of doing 1,8 grams and my girlfriend 0,7g. Should work better, right?

I'm thinking of just taking like 2 slices of white bread each, put the weed on and then a thick layer of cheese on top. Have the oven on around 120 degrees and have it in for 20 minutes. Sounds good? Is cheese fine or should I use nutella?

By the way, is there actually any use in preheating the weed?

I've tried chocolates and they turned out okay..
I'm sorry I'm too lazy to backtrack through all posts but has anyone talked about brewing tea?

Canna milk with fat free milk

So i got like 2 grams of mostly dank stems and I want to make some weed milk. I only have fat free milk which I know wont work, but I also have half and half.

My question is if I just use half and half instead of milk, chop up the stems and simmer them for 15-30 mins will it still work well? I might not have enough half and half and if there isnt enough could I add a bit of the fat free milk to make it enough? Im gonna add some coco at the end to make it all taste nice

It will work depending on what your tolerance to cannabis is. You need a decent amount of fat to make 'bhang' so the thc will bind well. Most people just use whole milk. Try 50% half and half and 50% fat free milk. Simmer it lightly as to not destroy the thc.

Well I did it, about half a cup of half and half, half a cup of milk in a double broiler, once it got hot I dropped the stems in and stirred it for like a half hour straight. About half way through I dropped in a small slice of butter to help extract the THC out.

Just drank it, tastes kinda weird, slightly like weed and it left a half and half taste in my mouth... oh well I hope this shit works

^ Good luck, I've never attempted "canna-milk" but some old ladies at a place I worked once told me to always use milk with as much fat as possible, and cream would be even better. I'm gonna move this into our MEGA thread for oral cannabis use since I definitely think this information will be valuable to BLers, and it won't get lost in there. OP, please feel free to post letting us know how it worked out!

I have a question, and sorry if this sounds dumb.

I'm not new to edible cannabis, though I'm really paranoid about certain things in the plant. I don't live in the states or U.K, where I do live the plants are not produced under ideal circumstances.

My question is, what would the worst case scenerio be if in fact the pot was contaminated with certian types of weed killers etc. or mold? Should I just take the risk and cook?

i wouldn't. mold is one of the few things that will destroy your stash, and there is nothing really safe you can do about it. Those damn spores don't just wash off.

Just add 0.5-1g of hash(depends on what kind and how strong it is) to a cup of hot coco with whipped cream. Nice buzz for several hours. Best I had was with Nepalese hash.

I haven't read through this whole thread, so I don't know if this was mentioned earlier. I've been making edibles for the last 11 years or so. After trying lots of increasingly complex recipes, my favorite turned out to be something simple. Nowadays I mostly just eat one of my cannabis capsules to get high. I make mine from bud powder, leaf powder, coconut oil, and filler (corn starch or flour). It takes a couple hours to feel anything after taking one. The effects peak around hour 3 or 4 and last several hours after that. It's more convenient for me to take a pill and eat whatever food I want instead of trying to incorporate weed into everything I eat.

I make pills from every strain I grow, so each batch has different effects. My White Rhino pills help me sleep at night, for instance. I just made new pills with Cinderella 99 that give me an "up" high with lots of energy and a great feeling overall. Those are perfect for daytime activities, not for sleep. If I want something that comes on faster with a shorter duration, I'll have some green dragon. I have different batches of green dragon for each strain too. If I want an even shorter duration, I'll use my vaporizer.
