Anyone else think that acid is somewhat like being a baby?

It does make everything astonishing and full of life but it's mainly what light does to our eyes/brain. That's why watching blades of grass on acid is the most exhilarating thing ever.

On one of my heavier fries my friend told me I had a smile on my face as if I were a child who "had just discovered he could get a boner", lol.

But in general, no. On most of my psychedelic experiences I have retained a level of cognition I believe to be out of the range of a seedling mind....

I know it isn't acid, but everytime I trip on 4-AcO-DMT, me and my friends will make references to being a baby at least three times during the trip. I think it's because I feel like I'm experiencing everything for the first time, like an infant. Trying to take in as much of the world as I can through my senses. Because of the visuals, everything just seems so new.

LSD - child with all knowledge, fucking RAD!

This reminds me of one of the "games" in Lisa Bieberman's historic pamphlet on LSD. Lisa was involved with Leary early on and wrote a bunch of interesting articles. But I think there is a way to be a positive baby too...

Baby

A young man I know who has just passed his first birthday has a standard procedure whenever he sees something interesting or pretty. He grabs it and gleefully pulls it to pieces. Some people in sessions are almost like this. They go about digging their fingers into things, crushing things, and dropping them any old where. They throw soap suds or kleenex around the floor. Now ordinary objects can be very fascinating when you’re high, holding some of the newness and wonder that they must hold for a small child. But do be gentle. Don’t destroy what you appreciate. Otherwise you will have a gruesome re-entry, as you come down to a room that is a complete mess. And you’ll have to clean it up — or you’ll never find your shoes.
Another variant of Baby is where a session participant acts helpless and expects others to look after him. He communicates only in monosyllables or meaningless noises, wants others to pay attention to him and fetch him food and water. I suppose Freudians would call this “regression to the oral stage,” but I call it playing Baby, as a reminder that it doesn’t just happen to a person, but is within his control. If you play Baby, you will miss the joy of sharing the experience with your friends. Besides, you will feel like a fool later, and nobody is likely to want to turn on with you again.

I like that statement about acid. That I can agree with.
2C-I not so much.. I mean I got some insane visuals out of the trip, but nausea and restlessness was a lot of it. Maybe I'd have to try it again.

I feel like a child when i trip on acid. I always end up wondering out of my room and exploring the outside world as if it was something new.

Yes, I have often said and sincerely believe that lsd brings at least part of your consciousness into a childlike state. That being said, it can put you into alot of other types of state other than one defined by age. But, I still think it puts people into a childlike state oftentimes, and potentially can regress one into a baby or prenatal or zygote or prebirth state (people go through rebirth scenarios sometimes while tripping)...
