Yeah definitely, same after a day at work when I haven't been able to smoke.. first cig with a pint at the end of a long day is always pretty epic though :)

I started when I was 15/16, never imagined I'd carry on but I did, as all my smoking mates gradually quit.. in my head I am a social smoker but I am really not at all. I do need to address it at some point, soon ideally.. always got an excuse though - stressful patch, new job, feeling down, there is always a reason not to! I'm a classic smoke-when-bored girl too. Maybe I'll take up origami instead ;)
 
Started smoking when I was eleven, but not full time, until about 15. Could take it or leave it, until I was about 21. Could smoke for weeks, then just have a week off, no problem. Then, probably the same time I started taking GBL, I couldn't stop. I need to stop, and I'm going to try one of those new nicorette mist sprays, from my doc, as it's free - just to see if it helps me cut down, at all. Next will be an electronic fag, and possibly the accupuncture, as friends have had success with that. I smoke Amber Leaf. Normal fags aren't strong enough, and leave me craving a roll up. So addictive, but I still enjoy it. I was actually thinking of starting a smoking thread, the other day, as we haven't had one for a while. I'm off for a cig now. Damn thread. ;)

Agreed & I've smoked constantly for the past ten years. I like going outside for a fag now that I'm used to it. Before the smoking ban I would sit in the pub & chain smoke all night. The only thing I don't like about it is the various smells. Particularly in clubs full of sweaty people. I'd rather the place stank of smoke than sweaty bastards & reeking farts.
 
I loath my smoking habit - keep it secret too which is pretty shit when you're out on a work night and dying for one. I end up chewing nicotine gum. Sometimes I can smoke a few in a day but add drugs n' drink into the mix and i binge on them and get all wheezy the next day.

The best one is the first one of a day.

Wish I could stop...
 
Yes taboo among the people I know, work ones and others. It's seen as bad for you health - hence you'd be stupid to do it.

The only person I know who smokes is Felix.
 
when I was a smoker my asthma never affected me at all. since I gave up, almost 10 years ago now, I've had a couple of serious asthma attacks - kept in hospital overnight style. Presumably because I had a nice impenetrable, to allergens, layer of tar in my wind tubes.

the giving up was kind of by default though. I couldn't get my usual brand and "best of the rest" were grim so I smoked them less and less to then point where I couldn't be bothered going for a smoke any more. went from being a 20 a day man to stopping completely over about 3 days. the only issue I got with it was a couple of nights where I couldn't sleep because I felt starving as a result of recovering my appetite.
 
Went into a shop and the guy behind the counter let me try an electronic cigarette. I bought it on the spot. £8 with ten refills! Refills are £2 for ten. Well impressed with it. Smokes just like a real fag. Best purchase I've made.
 
I decided to quit smoking today from about 12.5gs a day habit, chewing lots of gum. Allthough i have smoked two stogies but they were rough which was helpful in my aim. I doubt im going to last long im just really skint at the moment 8(.

fair play mate! still smokin myself, you didnt smoke that much at college though did ya? mate this mornin i made a rolly outta 3 ashtrays worth of stogies..not fun..especially when ya dont quite rip off the burnt bit and end up with a black toothed smile..loverly! but on the plus side i managed to get a loan of a tenner from my boss till payday so i got baccy now! just no FUCKING WEED TO SMOKE!!!!!
 
Got a bit of a social smoking habit going on at the moment that I'd actually quite like to get rid off. Damn you tasty chinese cigs.

Yea defintiely not, been gradually getting worse over the years, hopefully after this i will at least be able to cut down by a decent amount such a waste of £££
