Dihydrocodeine anyone?

I would like to get some info on Dihydrocodeine (DHC). Does anyone have any experience with this drug? What are the cognitive effects? What is the euphoria like and how long does it last? I have 30 mg pills of DHC, and have no idea what the dosing is. I know that 30-60mg is a therapeutic dose that probably will not produce a high but what doses are taken to produce a high? I experimented in the past with Oxycodone and Hydrocodone and am hoping that the DHC will be produce similar effects at high doses of DHC.

Can anyone share what they prefer more DHC, Codeine Phosphate, or Tramadol? Which one will produce the greatest euphoric, "typical", opiate high?

Any other interesting information on these pills that anyone can share?%) Reasonably safe potentiators?

We don't use SWIM here. We know its you and it makes your posts hard to read. I'm going to edit your post with proper pronouns.

30-90mg is the usual beginning dose. Dihydrocodeine is about 1.5x as potent as codeine on a mg-to-mg basis. It is probably going to be closest to hydrocodone in how it feels. They're all opiates, after all.

It's okay man, I edited your post for ya. If you've had experiences with oxycodone and hydrocodone, expect dihydrocodeine to be more like hydrocodone than oxycodone. However, some people's dosing for dihydrocodeine is closer to a 1:1 mg-for-mg ratio with codeine, it varies from person to person.
 
200mg-300mg should be safe, even with low tolerance. I'd recommend 200 and then redose if necessary. Also, check if they are ER or IR tabs. The high is heavier than codeine, but less warm. Gives a more intense, long-lasting body feel compared to codeine. It's like a somehwat shorter, baby-version of methadone. Has some similarities with Hydrocodone but lasts longer. Also if you take it in the evening your eyes will still be pinned well into the next day. The half-life varies and can be long in some individuals. Post back and let me know what you thought of DHC ;)
 
from a molecular standpoint dihydrocodeine lies somewhere in between codeine and hydrocodone. potency-wise it's, as stated above, stronger than codeine so it's nowhere near as strong as hydrocodone. it feels a lot like a cross between codine and hydrocodone which makes perfect sense. i would say it feels a bit more like hydrocodone but if you take too much then it can have a nasty histamine reaction similar to codeine. the histamine reaction isn't as bad as codeine however it is there.

personally i loved dihydrocodeine way more than codeine but i do like hydrocodone more. the thing i liked about dihydrocodeine is that it gave me lots of energy yet i could still sleep on it unlike hydrocodone which can keep me up all night.
 
Ive been on dhc 30 mgs in the uk 4 several months now.Recreationaly i take 10 mg diazepam 25 mg phenerghan as potenators and take 300mgs of dihydrocodeine the high with me lasts only about a hour though because of built up tolerance .But i must say that hour is very euphoric easy going talkative friendly optomistic ect!!.
 
Never tried hydro as it's not prescribed over here, so I can't make that comparison.

I much prefer DHC to codeine but many people feel the opposite as mentioned above. To me DHC feels more like the stronger opioids thn codeine does, but that's highly subjective stuff of course.

It doesn't come close to the likes of oxy unfortunately, but it's a fun and worthwhile drug if your tolerance is down.
 
I also thought because it was slightly up the opiate tree so to speak that it would be a nicer high than codeine, but I was wrong for me. Codeine is far more enjoyable. When I doses too high on DHC I would just be more munted and perhaps spew, not feel much nicer

Ive given DHC to 2 of my friends & they both hated it. It made them both edgy & made their hearts race which is weird because it made my heart slow down like opiates do.
 
I only have experience of Codeine and DHC, and i have little tolerance. DHC tends to induce more euphoria for me personally, Codeine very little, even at a 300mg dose. Codeine is more of a body high, but in my honest opinion is a poor opiate to experiment with. DHC is slightly better, but still not an amazing opiate. My best experience has come from a Codeine/DHC combo which i highly recommend. My dose was 160mg Codeine + 100mg DHC, but that is with opiate experience.

Fresh grapefruit supposedly works as a potentiator.

DHC vs codeine is completely down to personal preference. I like DHC best, especially with some potentiation, it sneaks up on you but I definitely find it more euphoric - but codeine can give a decent rush and I've gone from really not liking it at all (far too much histamine) to being quite fond of it!

Got friends spanning the whole spectrum, from loving DHC and considering it on par with stronger opioids to people getting zero effects. You will just have to suck it and see - hopefully you're at the "good effects" end of the scale :)
 
So I've been experimenting with DHC for the last week or so, and I'm sort of mixed on it. It's definitely pleasant no doubt. My tolerance to it is low and 150 mg's goes to my brain pretty nicely. I do have a few complaints about it though that I haven't seen with other opiates. The "hangover" period the next day from it is annoying. With other opiates I found myself feeling better the next day, but with DHC I take it the night before and the next day I feel tired, groggy, and easily frustrated. These usually last me the entire next day, not to mention my eyes are pinned for at least 24 hours after. Secondly, it is by far the itchiest opiate I've tried. I find myself scratching my back and legs for hours on it. Although eventually I've gotten used to it.
I must admit that DHC is a lot nicer than straight codeine, but I would put it closer to this drug on the euphoric spectrum. Hydrocodone, oxycodone, and even tramadol are much more euphoric in my opinion and present the greatest and most pleasant high without nearly as much itch and tiresome hangover. Although for pain I think that DHC is the most effective at least for the moderate pain I am experiencing. Hydro doesn't really work for pain IMO.
Overall I give DHC a B. Very pleasant to hang out and listen to music to, good for pain, but a few drawback listed above.
And btw, I don't think Grapefruit juice works at all as a potentiator. Any other suggestions? Other than plugging...

I often plug my drugs. Best way to get the most out of them imo ;)

I actually really like the MR DHC - if you crush them you semi-defeat the time release mechanism, so you get a decent initial high, but as it isn't defeated completely you feel it for a long time into the next day. That can be a disadvantage though I guess if you want to look and feel entirely normal the next day.
 
I didn't even think that maybe I have MR tablets! I have 30 mg Teva DHC's. I assume these are IR, but maybe they are MR like you said. That would explain why I feel the effects of them well into the next day... If anyone knows if Teva makes MR 30 mg DHC's or whether they are IR?
