Anyone having diff finding Piracetam online?!?
one site has been taken offline and i'm reading the FDA is going to re-classify Piracetam as a DRUG, thus making it unavailable to the public and pressuring online suppliers to cease its promotion and selling as a suppliment?
Mods what do u know about this?8(

of course now i can't exactly recall a site!! but the FDA has quietly been gathering a case against nootropic sups, which are completly unregulated, and plan on shutting down online suppliers who do not comply., the main part i remember is the "FDA is convinced it is really a drug"
there is a lobbyist movement pushing for this as it will make it more costly and pharmaceutical suppliers will corner the market and raise the price substantially

The FDA has known since the 70s that Piracetam potentiates the effects of amphetamines and psychotropics.
However, the very existence of websites like BL may be increasing the global demand for these products.
I would be very surprised if law enforcement wasn't bothered by this and reporting the trends they see to district attorneys.

It is also easy to find bodybuilding forums where discussion of nootropics is common-place.
College students have used it to help them obtain levels of focus they could not otherwise achieve - without the risks of stimulants.
The internet is spreading the benefits and purported safety of these products to a wider audience.

I have read a few reports that US distributors are being to told to stop selling, simply because Piracetam is not a vitamin or nutrient.
As I understand it, a loophole in an import law passed in the late 90s allows Piracetam and other racetams to be classified as nutritional supplements. It appears that at the state level, this is being contested.

At the federal level, the racetams are still NOT classified as a drug.
That means it is unscheduled and therefore legal to posses AND manufacture.

That doesn't mean that selling and advertising it as a 'supplement' will go unchallenged.
The courts may be forced to intervene in the matter, if the distributors stand up to the DAs.
Based on current federal law, we should be fine.
State law....who knows.

IF the FDA gets the Congress to schedule these molecules as 'drugs' then it would likely require a prescription to obtain, along with a higher price. It could also make importing it illegal, essentially closing the loophole.

Try to remember that this is a democracy, and there are many people using these supplements for purposes other than potentiating MDMA. If the FDA does try to take definitive action, we will likely find out. Then we simply need to involve ourselves by contacting our representatives/senators.

As a group, we may have some influence.
If it could be established that these 'supplements' offer neuro-protection from toxicity, it might help.

Some of these websites likely still posses a stock of their product.
I emailed a few and was told simply to call them to place an order...

I recommend www.cerebralhealth.com, as it has ALL the racetams plus Noopept available in small to large quantities.
It is a Florida-based company and still has all the products available.

Piracetam is by FAR the most affordable, and searching for SNS Piracetam will reveal the lowest price on the web.
Google, Amazon, and Ebay, but not the website recommended above.

Everyone but SNS charges $85-100 for a kilogram of Piracetam.
SNS is only $65 with shipping for 1kg, but you have to buy it in .5kg tubs for $32.

Some have questioned the validity of this brand in bodybuilding forums due to pricing, with many responses advocating it as genuine.
I have ordered some, but have not tried it yet. I strongly recommend against daily long-term use of Piracetam, as very few medications/supplements are harmless with uninterrupted use.

I always recommend combining Piracetam with LOTS of fish oil.
Several months of use has convinced me that the two simply work together.
The Piracetam increases cellular membrane permeability, while fish oil increases the coating on the outside of these membranes to improve signal transmission.

Caution - Piracetam has been shown to reduce acetylcholine, a critical salt/neurotransmitter found inside the membrane itself.
A choline supplement is highly recommended for long-term use of Piracetam.
However, do NOT overdo the choline, especially with phosphorus based compounds.
Limit yourself to a few hundred mgs per day.

Lecithin is the most cost effective source of Choline, but the dosage of choline is quite high.
For short-term use, it has amazing benefits on sexual function.
It causes all of your glands to swell up - so be prepared to feel a little strange/ill.

A side effect is increased cholesterol in your lymphatic fluid - this becomes obvious when you ejaculate!
Not only does semen volume increase substantially, but sensation does as well.
You can feel it all the way from the prostate....down the urethra. :D
I imagine women also experience an increase in fluids, but with all things moderation is the key.

Just thought I would go a little above and beyond, again.
Hope this helped.

I got some cheap off ebay last week. It's not controlled or anything. I do however suspect some unscrupulous vendors are making up rumors, one even possibly forging an alleged document from the FDA, stating that there was a ban in effect. To this day, I have not found any evidence of this from any official government bodies, and piracetam still remains readily available from Amazon and eBay.

I am really glad that they sell Piracetam OTC in Ukraine. :) The prices are a little steep (you have to pay for convenience), but still very affordable, even with my Ukrainian salary. :)

But yeah, I highly doubt that they are going to ban Piracetam. As far as I know, it's mostly used by drug users, body builders and transhumanist types (H+). As long as the mainstream population doesn't know about it, there is no reason for big pharma to lobby for a ban.

I have never taken piracetam and don't see why everyone feels the need to be honest, but this is really sad if they do this. There are more uses for piracetam than just rolling harder and it should not be scheduled.

I'm like 100% sure this was a rumor... I searched and searched, and couldn't find anything besides one single letter that a vendor selling Piracetam is claiming the FDA sent them because they are banning it (even though I found nothing from government sources remotely stating anything close). Although they were claiming other vendors got the letter too, it seems like it may be some kind of ploy to move a bunch of Piracetam quickly by panicking potential customers into hastingly stocking up. You can still get it readily on ebay. Always have been able to. Ebay won't let banned stuff slide for long - that shit gets removed / banned, the people selling are notified and instructed not to sell it. The same people have been selling it all along on ebay and haven't stopped. I know the "letters from the FDA" the vendors were claiming are bullshit

I don't see the point in this thread without a link

^^ Clear sales ploy to push piracetam..
We have just received the unfortunate word that Piracetam has been banned by the FDA.
Then..
UPDATE: We now know that Piracetam has NOT been banned, as there are manufacturers still selling it. However, the FDA is giving a LOT of grief to anyone who wishes to manufacture piracetam, and we fear its eventual banning. I have personally already bought a nice stockpile for myself as I believe it is being positioned to become a prescription drug as it is in Europe. I encourage you to buy a few bottles and do the same.

I got SNS Brand on ebay

As good as piracetam is, it doesn't have any extraordinary properties that would make the FDA want to ban it. IMO it's no miracle drug / cure / remedy for anything, at most a subtle helping drug / supplement.. I mean they might aswell ban caffeine..

I think this piracetam banned misinformation nonsense has been cleared up...

this all started when i couldn't get AMerican Nutrition website online,
have they shut down?
they also have L-Dopa Suppliments, real difficult to find,
anybody ?

I usually buy piracetam from CerebralHealth or CTD Labs, and when I noticed that they stopped selling it, I contacted them. Here is a response that I received:

"Thank you for the email first and foremost- The FDA has told us to stop production of the products in question. The pharmaceutical company phizer has file a license on the product to make it a prescription drug. You can still purchase the product though online if you can find it. Not specifically our Brand.. but others are still out there that have not been shut down yet!"

Phizer is one of my least favorite pharmaceutical companies- they have a long history of acquiring drugs that help people and paying to have exclusive rights to manufacture it at a 500% markup.

I don't understand. On cerebralhealth's website, they are still selling bulk piracetam. I just got some last week. How is it they've "stopped selling" it?

if you copied pasted that.. Then this is indeed bullshit, phizer is spelled Pfizer

Piracetam isn't going anywhere anytime soon. It's 99.99(repeating of course)% most likely that these guys are trying to move product faster than currently. UNLESS these select people know whats going on behind scenes with the FDA and Congress. I wouldn't trust ANY vendor talk till there's actual proof of ACTUAL legislation against it

Could it be that the FDA is giving shit to certain vendors who are manufacturing Piracetam in the USA? Just a thought.

I think all the online suppliers were getting it in much bigger wholesale quantities from China & India.. It sounds to me like the vendors are going "hurry up it's going to be banned, no wait, we have a little more, buy it before it's banned!"

They have been doing it for about a year now... And it's still readily available.

BTW, there is no 'license' like they quoted. The exclusive property rights over a product/"drug" like this are done with patents, not a "license". And piracetam has been around a long time, all old patents should surely be expired by now. Only the FDA could make it prescription-only, but who would pay out the ass for the doctor visit AND the piracetam. I mean right now it's pretty damn cheap, I couldn't imagine ANYBODY paying that much for it in the future.
