Eh? They won the 1996 election on the premise that they weren't a working-class party anymore and were now pursuing Thatcherism-lite.

They would never have gained the support of the Mail and Murdoch otherwise.

I would've thought the introduction of a National Minimum Wage (which the Tories fought to the death) and the New Deal for the Unemployed (ditto) were progressive measures. Neither were perfect but they were better than living in the third world under Major, which was a reality for the more disadvantaged back then.

No doubt New Labour had to become more centrist in their policies in order to get elected, but the bulk of their votes did and still come from Scotland, the North and inner city areas. My feeling towards Murdoch is that he backs winners, he might have asked them/made them take some of the venom out of their more economically damaging socialist policies.

The national minimum wage was slightly good for the working classes, no denything that. But it has created certain problems with being competitive in an international environment, and has meant waving goodbye to almost all unskilled jobs. It has also totally screwed the North. Why would I hire someone in the North when they cost the same as someone in the South? The fact is the wage doesn't need to be the same in the North as it does in the South. Up here I rent an entire house for the price of 1 room in a shared house in the South.
 
got some dmt freebase and its my first time with it, cant get it to vape to were i get a proper trip from it, tried it off a spoon aswell but nothing full blown like changa that id had before, might try it in a bong between weed later and hope it works, its annoying as ive used a fair bit trying to trip lol
 
DMT freebase can be really awkward to smoke.

There's loads of stuff on here and elsewhere, though I presume you've followed those instructions already. Practice makes perfect but I'd definitely try smoking it with some weed if you're struggling. Enjoy experimenting too. :)

unfortunatley its harder than that. What the DWP have done is hired private companies to do alot of the medicals n such for them .
This causes untold confusion n fuk ups , and you can't get 2 speak 2 someone from the dwp cos these private companies are like barriers in your way.
Soon you will have to go through about 5 private agencys b4 you can speak 2 someon ethat actually works 4 the Govt.
I sympathise with Danny big time.
 
Drinkin on a schoolday now thats some serious stuff.
After the drama of the 1st 3 days of the week i think i m' a go n get a 4 pack of Thatchers.
I should be on my own i think so i won't have anyone to annoy and act like a belligerent anti social dick head with apart from you guys.
I'll try my best not to , i really will promise.
 
My strategy exactly Brimz. I just avoid people when I drink now, so I can be as shitty as I like until passing out.

Might get some Supers in on the way home this evening.

I've managed to get of the Supers n Spesh n jus stick to 5% type stuff, my behaviour on ss lager is just ridiculous n the hangovers kick my ass , once you get past 30 its a different ball game i swear.
 
ello again, just back from a fat meal, feel sick now lol, but fuck it was good! had a few beers also which has kinda killed my motivation for the rest of the day..at least its only 2 hours to go! nearly the weekend! thank fuck!!

get a brillo pad from the shop and burn it on yer oven hob, then rip a chunk off and stick it into a weedpipe, any will do, then get yer spice and dab yer finger in it then press it onto the 'warm' brillo pad so it melts ever so slightly, then toke like its a rock :P, you will be in hyperspace in no time, and whatever you do, dont make a lightbulb vape!! i ended up scraping residue for 4 hours with a scalpel from the inside of mine lol, still managed to trip off the residue too! bonus!

I'm supposed to be on the wagon, yeah. I keep having a sly one though. It's not every night so for now that'll do.

Know what you mean about hangovers getting worse after 30. Wish I didn't. :)

And yeah, 5% and under is pretty sensible. Anything above that will have you shitting in the streets at some point if you hammer it. You may think you're sober but it ain't the case.

i can no longer do it either, i had like 5 pints last wednesday and that alone made work hell the next day, luckily i didnt get to the point that powders were being rammed up nostrils like they would be had i had a few more :P
 
BCF, you know the solution to that? Don't stop at five pints. ;)

If you're drinking on a schoolnight you have to grasp the nettle like Wibz did. Sod's Law has a special sub-clause which states that a few pints will give you a hangover the next day while getting blind drunk will pardoxically mean you wake up feeling fine. It's a well-trodden, well-sodden road.

Problem is i've already done 2 cans . But SS lager does have a tottaly different effect more like a liquid cosh.
So far i'm in the happy , enjoying music mood my favourite part of drinking , but things can go south rather quickly.

I've got a few things in my favour seeing as i got close fam in cali n my cousin has been b4.

Drink enough to still be slightly tipsy when you wake up and all will be dandy in the world. Until around 3 o'clock when the hangover kicks in.

Contemplating getting a global gathering ticket last minute...
