A 14-year-old US citizen has been found guilty in a Mexican court of torturing and beheading four people in Mexico, according to CNN.

The boy, known only as Edgar, according to FOX News , is also known by the moniker "El Ponchis," Spanish for "The Cloak," CNN reports.

The boy, who FOX News reports was born in San Diego and raised in Mexico by a grandmother, allegedly admitted to the crimes following his arrest in December.

In an on-camera interrogation by Mexican military authorities, the thin, curly-haired boy calmly copped to slitting the throats of his victims, who were all found beheaded, according to CNN.

^ Don't worry - that 3 years will probably get him in contact with the underworld even more, and so it is likely that his life pattern has been somewhat determined...
I bet that people who can murder in cold blood are in high demand in the cartels.
He has built a career for himself.

What do we learn from this? get kids to do the dirty work!
....Bad joke i know 8(

Totally agree, he will have jobs waiting for him when he gets out the same way busted computer hackers do

i know. its funny, most countries have waaaaay too lax punishments; and the US it's way too strict. its like WTF

This is because the private prison industry in the US is huge, and because certain strata of society wish to neutralize the voters of other strata.

that explains why its so big in the states; but why are so many other countries so lax on really hardcore criminals? like ive read of many recent serial killers in china getting out after 4-5 years. in the supposedly horribly strict mordor-like China. so why are so many countries stupidly lax on violent crime? like they'll behead someone for trafficking hashish but let a guy for slaughtering a playground full of children. i think earthy law and gov't organised justice is a great idea, but in reality it seems insanely inefficient and often dangerous.
