IV -ing Opana IRs

So I have some 5mg ir opanas, and was hoping someone could tell me the preparation involved in IVing these.

Never shot a pill so I want to make sure I do it right.

From my understanding, Opana IR's are quite simple to IV. Crush up the pill, add water, stir, micron filter, tie off, bang, enjoy your high.

I'd really recommend checking out the opioid conversion chart and the article on micron filtering.

edit: Ohh yeah, never heat pills.

Supposively when you shoot it, Opana is at least 10 times stronger than oxycodone milli for milli. I've seen figures like 1mg Opana (oxymorphone) = 20mg oxycodone when IV'd, as well. There is a big jump for snorting...intranasally, I've seen people report that 1mg of opana = around 5mg oxy...but realistically opana is about twice as strong as oxy (unless you've been doing other opiates and then do opana for the first time, of course its going to feel stronger). Truth be told, even the more reliable conversion charts are only accurate when there are no opiates in the user's system. Just be extra careful if you're used to taking or snorting opana, because it is way more intense when injected - like Dilaudid.

edit: I could be wrong in my figures about IV opana so please correct me, only going on what I've read.

I do have a pretty high tolerance. I've been snorting Opana er 40mgs a LOT recently, to the point where I can blow upwards of 60mg. Well atm all i can get is the 5mg IRs, so I'm considering banging them.

Would it be acceptable to use a cotton instead of of a micron filter?

To the OP, basically you just want to crush the pill into a very fine powder and use cold to slightly warm water, then filter.

I have found thought that something in the IR’s specifically the blue ones make them very hard to suck up through a cotton filter. I’m not sure what is in the pills but it clogs the filter very quickly making it very difficult to suck up. I usually use as much water as I can and then use a few different pieces of cotton then do a 2nd wash of the cottons and remaining powder.

Has any one else had this issue with the blue 5mg Opana IR’s?

Also, I believe the conversion is 1 mg IV Oxymorphone = 20 mg oral oxycodone. But you get the idea, it's strong shit.
