Hi everyone, new to these forums as a member but been reading around here for a while. I'm Mike from New York State and I'm 22 years old. I got alot of good things going for me, just graduated college with a bachelors in Finance and got alot of people that want me to do well. Only problem in my life is my cat has a opiate problem that's getting more and more out of control, its basically getting to the point of stopping or no return.
Anyways I'm here to help my cat, hes ready to kick it opiate addiction for many reasons. He just has so many negative influences around him, some many dealer friends, so many junkie friends, he really needs some help from other people, especially ones who have been though the same things.
It all started for my cat in late 2009 as a member of the glorious fraternity, Kappa Sigma. A good amount of brothers would do a little blue pill called a roxy before a party with sorority chicks, or chick sports teams, or the bar or what have you. Of course they already abused coke, MDMA, benzos and basically whatever on a strictly weekend worrier code so he figured 'hey why not, whats the worst that could happen?' not knowing what he was getting into.
Well moderation worked for about a semester doing 30-60mg tops a weekend and staying focused on school on extracurricular activities such as pick up basketball and weightlifting on the weekdays. But then the down word spiral started, doing them before class, doing them before the library, doing them to get outta bed it got worse and worse. They were always around and he had some of the best connects and TONSS of customers to sell to so it was never really an issue.
Fast-forward to 5/19/11-- As we walk across the stage to get our diplomas, my cat is on 160mg of Oxycontin, its only about 12pm around 4pm he will need around 80mg or theirs no way hes gonna make it to dinner with his parents without seriously WDing. Around 12am he will prob take another 60mg to get to sleep. I'd like to say I dont know how this happened, but I do and my cat has no one to blame but himself. Oh lets not forget opanas here and there and sometimes smack right off the street. Not the type of life anyone should want to live....
Now its 7/8/11 and hes slowly and painfully dug out of this hole. He has missed out on job opportunities from good companies with good starting salary because he cant go take a drug test. Currently hes down to about 40-60mg a day and continues to try to slowly taper. Hes tried totally kicking it before but can't do it just quite yet.
Can anyone realate to my cats story? can anyone please help? I need some postive motivation or help of any sort. Mr. Whiskers almost ready to kick the habit completely but just not quite yet. Thanks for reading, God bless
