I recently came into 2mg of Buprenorphine in Temgesic form (0.2mg pills). I have little to no opiate tolerance and am going to give bupe a try.

I know it's extremely strong, so 0.2mg or even 0.1mg would be my starting dose. I plan on insufflating it.

I hear it lasts really long, would it be bad to do it at night (real small dose, maybe 0.05-0.1)? Or more preferably during the day? And roughly how long do the 'recreational' effects last? I believe I've heard 6, but residual for 24.

Also, what if one were to fall asleep on it, say after 3-4 hours of insufflation of a minor dose? Would that be bad or fine?

Thanks

Firstly, are the pills 2mg or .2mg? Probably you'll be ok with either dose, but it would be helpful to know.

I myself always preferred doing opiates during the day - you can look at the sun, go outside, and just basically bliss out. Night time can be a bit more sombre and you're more likely - especially given it's your first time - to just fall asleep. But opiates is opiates!

I would do it after you've woken up but before you've begun to get tired. Say between 12pm and 3pm.

Also, note that many people do not get much enjoyment from opiates their first time. It's a discrete experience - even when it's very potent - and it can take some getting used to.

Also I can't think of any reason, on your first time, why you should bother snorting the stuff. Apart, I guess, from a maybe slightly quicker onset.

It's quite potent, so you're taking the right steps as far as dosage goes. Start low and then see how it works for you.

No danger in sleeping on it either. However, for many people, buprenorphine is stimulating enough that they have trouble sleeping on it. For this reason, I would dose earlier in the day.

I have a total of 2mg in 10 pills of 0.2mg.

Ya that time frame makes sense, I'll try it around that time, thanks. I only decided on insufflation because I read many posts saying it is the best/preferred ROA for bupe in terms of bioavailability and onset. Wikipedia says it differs in 15-20% with intranasal being the greater bioavailability %. But, could this pose problems? I don't have a problem with any ROA really.

Snorting it is safe provided you adjust your dosage accordingly. Just start low (really low) and give it some time between doses to be sure.

Yeah, maybe given that you only have a small amount of bupe, snorting would be the way to go. If you decide to snort, it would also be sensible to begin with .2mg - it's small, but you're not addicted to any opiates, and sometimes people just have strange reactions.

I would wait 30-60mins after snorting before doing any more. If you take sublingually, I would wait 45-90mins before redosing.

Let us know how it goes.
