is cvs long acting tussin adult cough a safe source of dxm?

Dxm is the only active ingredient, however there is alcohol listed in the inactive ingredients, and i heard mixing alcohol with dxm at high doses is bad. its an 8 oz bottle and iv tripped on dxm many times, is this tussin safe to drink? i couldn't find zicam cough so this is the best they had at cvs.any input appreciated.
 
that's pretty much the best OTC source of dxm you can get in terms of quality of high, milligrams, and price.

it's safe to drink provided you're not on any other medication, are not diabetic (it's got kilos of sugar,) are not enzyme deficient and some other factors.

the main problem with it is the massive amount of sugar.

the amount of alcohol is equal to 1/10th of a beer or less.

as long DXM is the only active ingredient you're good to go bro. (i don't think there is enough alcohol to actually effect you)

i've taken the same exact one (dosed at 600mg) and had a nice trip.

Yeah, man i know about erowid, i went there before ever even thinking about dxm iv visited that site for years now. How would i know if i was enzyme deficient? iv tripped of dxm for like 4 days straight before(it was the longest trip iv ever had...i actually thought cough medicine was free like 2 days into the trip because i would go steal my next bottle before id comedown it was in my younger years though and i realise it was stupid. iv also drank 2 1/2 bottles of zicam cough max and had a great trip. so is it safe to say i am not enzyme deficient??? plus i don't take no meds at all not besides weed
