all of the synthetic smokes are brand names how to tell which chemical is in it?

unless it say on the package or the website you bought it from i don't think you will know. unless you send it to a lab or some shit. But who wants to do that

you can also ask the company via email, dunno whether they'd respond or not though. The easiest way to get a known dose of a known chemical is just to make your own. Its not difficult at all and also much cheaper that way ;)

What do you mean about 'which form' of JWH-### it is? Like freebase or salt?
If you do mean that, then to be honest I don't know what is normal with such compounds as naphthoylindoles.

I agree with the remark about making your own. That way you can really choose more reliably what kind of effect profile you want. Perhaps discussion about "products" or blends can be found as well but I couldn't imagine it to be as good as what you could find on the chemicals themselves.

Can't think of a good argument not to make it yourself.

Seriously, I'd advise making your own. I actually smoked store-bought cigarettes for the first time in a long time about a week ago since I was on a trip and ran out of my own supply, and those damn Camels made me feel like my head was gonna split every time I tried to smoke one. Making your own is so much cheaper, and a little healthier (well, as healthy as cigarette smoking gets).

Yeah, the only way is to get someone who knows to tell you, and not lie about it...

And yeah, they must be making a fortune, just for dissolving some chemical they bought in bulk and spraying it on some herbs and wrapping it up so it looks pretty 8)

It is self-incriminating for them - depending on where your or they are based - to tell you so don't expect them to.

i read a good interview with John W. Hoffman, the chemist to first synthesise JWH-018, by Hamilton Morris; here's a snippet

HM:Scary! It’s quite popular everywhere in the world now.

JWH:Well, yes. The thing is that JWH-018 is really easy to make.

HM:How easy?

JWH:I mean, it’s a two-step synthesis from readily available materials. I’ve had undergraduate students make it. But there is absolutely no toxicity data on this compound. Who knows what the long-term effects are? I mean, I have had people over the years ask me, “Can’t we try some of your compounds on ourselves?” And I say, “Oh, yeah, you’re welcome to. But we don’t know if they’re poisonous or not.” They lose interest very quickly after that, and I think people who are smoking this stuff should lose interest quickly as well.

HM:Perhaps you underestimate how much people like to get high. One published paper demonstrated that JWH-018 is metabolized into carcinogenic metabolites, which is very bad considering millions of people smoke JWH-018 each day.

JWH:Well, I might say, “Why don’t you stick to marijuana, because it’s safer.” Smoking a compound with unknown biological properties in humans is a stupid thing to do.

HM:Have you ever tried synthetic cannabinoids?

JWH:I believe that I am intelligent enough not to smoke or ingest one of our compounds for which no toxicity data is available. Also, as far as I’m concerned, alcohol is a very acceptable alternative to various other chemicals.

I'd agree with most of that, except I've smoked JWH-018 and 250 a few times because I think the risks of occasional use are small. This bit though, "Also, as far as I’m concerned, alcohol is a very acceptable alternative to various other chemicals," jesus, I don't know what to say!

So the interview is pretty much bullshit because the guy operates under the pretense that it is used as incense?

JWH is not the owner of the Spice company, he was the inventor of the JWH series of Cannabinoids. Jeez, read the article it makes its clear, instead of either skimming and missing it or relying on someone else's misinterpretation.

'pologies and good point, i read it a while ago and just quickly checked back, i'll edit that
