how come when i take oxy i get super drowsy and when i get in bed i just sprawl out and have a heavenly sleep? does anyone else have the same effect with oxy or is it just me because iv heard some people get stimulating effects when they do oxy and it never makes them drowsy!? wtf is going on??

Perks me up for about 30 minutes, then I start automatically closing my eyes.

thnks, i was wondering if ti was safe to sleep on oxy and do you have weird dreams cos i think iv been having some weird dreams wile im high and sleeping on thjat shit

Yes. It's safe to sleep on oxycodone. Unless you're overdosed. But since you're following correct harm reduction procedures, you're not, right? ;)

I always found that oxy's made me nod super hard, but never enough to sleep. That's not to say that I just lay in bed wishing I could sleep; it was like a middle ground between being awake and being asleep, and I would just have intensely wonderful dreams for hours and hours until the sun rose.

A related but slightly off topic question:
I was JUST about to start a similar thread, but since this is already up, I thought I'd add my question, which is:
I've been on opiates for years, so I'm familiar with all this, but the new Oxycontin OP's have me a little confussed...I take a final dose b4 I go to sleep so I don't wake up in bad w/d's. Recently I've only been taking the oxy OP's, which I turn into an instant release solution for drinking. I know my TEK for making the OPs into an IR formulation is mostly effective b/c I need to redose every 4-5 hours. (Could wait longer, but past 5 hours and I start to feel VERY minor w/d symptoms) However, I'm sure that the modified OP's still have some extended release oxy in them.
SO...tonight I can take a few 30mg IR roxy's. OR a partially IR solution of an 80mg OP. I'd like to save the OP for tomorrow, but that means I'd have to take some roxy's b4 bed tonight. For any seriously addicted opiate lovers w/ experience here: Will swallowing approx 75mgs of IR oxy keep the w/d's away for roughly the same time as taking an 80mg OP that has been modified to be about 70-80% IR?

Thanks

i nod out hard if i take more than normal. i dream vivid dreams usually something along the lines of being incarcerated and unable to get my pills. it is a nightmare ! over and over i have variations of this same horrible dream. then i wake up every two hours or so and happily redose and do it all again.

^ yeah. It can take a while using opiates to fully understand how to best enjoy them; namely by not trying to to intense activities but also not trying to sleep soundly.

They induce a sort of 'middle' state which personally I find irresistibly beautiful.

Yeah the dreams are crazy except in mine I'm always getting pills and find them all over but wake up and realize I don't have any and it was a dream.. But opiates give me energy and keep me up all night I guess everyone is differnt....

Everybody has different reactions to different drugs.

It's perfectly safe to go to sleep on opiates provided you're not overdosing (and no, we can't tell you if you're overdosing).
