testing @ festival

Attending an outdoor music festival, and was wondering what is the easiest way to test something before you buy it? I've heard putting the test sample onto your watch glass works pretty well, but a lot of the time, it's going to be dark, and it'll be hard to see. Also, do you just carry around the testing solution everywhere with you? Should we just get just a little, go back to the campsite and test, then go back and try to find the guy?

Sorry if I sound like a noob, I'm just not sure of the logistics of the thing, but we want to be safe.

easiest thing to do... get your stuff before the festival...carrying around a corrosive solution not a good ideal in the first place and testing a illegal substance out in the open even a worse ideal...
 
hmm...thanks for the advice. I'd rather not drive to the festie with anything in the car, and also don't want to worry about getting through the gate with stuff. Anybody have any tips other than bringing it with me?
 
The best thing to do, like he said, is to buy it before entering the festival. You can test it in a safe environment with no risk of getting caught. If you really don't want to do that, then go ahead and test it there. A lot of my friends who have sold pills at festivals really like when people test their pills before buying just to see how good they are, but lots of people will be reluctant to let you do this. Maybe they don't want to get caught, but there's a good chance that they know their product is either inferior or adulterated. Just stay away from these people. Assuming this is a camping festival I would just test the pills on a plate or something in somebody's test and not out in the open. Best of luck to you.
 
Some festivals have pill testing, i know the ones that i go to have testing and its free.

But i'd just buy some from random and then take it back and test it and then if its good go back and get more. Pretty simple, unless he'll let you test it right there if he isnt a shady drug dealer and cares about quality and will stand behind it.
 
I'm glad you are trying to be safe- bringing testing kits to events can prove to be challenging, but festivals are an easy place for people to sell adulterated pills at a huge profit and never see you again.

If you possibly can, I'd avoid being in a situation where you are buying drugs inside an event. It's not easy to be subtle, and getting caught while being involved in a drug purchase usually gets you thrown out, or possibly arrested.

As lightforce said, you may be best off just acquiring a small amount (check it out on pillreports before hand), and testing it when you're by yourself. Asking to scrape off a sample of a pill in a festival may prove annoying to the person you are doing business with, as they probably don't want to be obvious.
 
EZTEST have one use ampules that are perfect for testing on the go ! Simply snap the top of the vial, drop in your sample and gauge the reaction. Once your finished then pop your used vial in the nearest bin and your good to go!

Other options for testing on the go - put a few drops of solution in a contacts lens case - when your testing simply drop your sample in the puddle and gauge the reaction (two tests).

If you have neither of the above available and your out with your bottle of marquis - take a quick look around you, there is bound to be either a empty water bottle or soda can lying around. Use the top of the water bottle or the underside of the soda can !

Alot of festivals have pill-testing sites you can utilize. Check out the festival you're going to online and maybe ask someone who's been to that one.

As a quick question, wouldn't the testing reagents corrode through aluminum (the pop-can) and possible skew your results up? Simply out of curiosity. I've always wondered which surfaces would be safe to test on :)

Yes if you leave it long enough - normally you only need a few seconds before you get your reaction.

Glass - non porous surfaces are the best - say a white plate that you can keep purely for testing, obviously thats no go if your wondering around a festival and want to test on the go. If your wandering around grab a few plastic white spoons from the tea/coffee vendors - they pretty good to use also.

Just remember to keep the solution off your skin as it can burn you.

You take that risk by not testing it at the fest. Do what you can to obtain it before the festival.
 
Bring the testing kit and test it at the festival. Aren't there washrooms (you may need a flashlight) or a tent or something that you can use? :s
 
Carry it around in your bag, along with a small bag of white plastic spoons. Test in enclosed areas (bathrooms, port-a-potties, tents, etc.)

Bring a headlamp so you can do it in the dark (and because going to a fest without a headlamp is really dumb in general).

Also, if you're feeling generous with your reagent, offer it whenever anyone mentions having pills, even if you've already got yours on lock. The more info you collect at a fest about what's going around, the better ... you'll be able to make sure that no friends, old or new, get shitty pills.

I always advise everyone to print out a page of adulterated pills in the area before heading to a festival etc - hand them out to everyone :D

You dont need to do a full A4print - shrink it down, 8 small flyers from a sheet of A4 is still big enough. Make sure you mention Pillreports / eztest somewhere on the sheet and your good to go.
