I Care Because You Do
Bluelighter
OK, so first of all, I tried to find a thread on this, but apparently the BL search engine, after all these years, STILL sucks ass. It excluded the word "alone" because it was "too common," so basically I got a search on the word "Rolling" in the thread title.
I'm just saying that because I KNOW that this has been covered many times before, and all I see on these boards anymore are repeats of the most basic questions/most repeated threads.
So I'm sorry.
Anyways, I'm not asking for advice, but just for your own personal thoughts. My situation:
I just moved in with my girlfriend, who hasn't done E in years, and we're planning on doing it together. We both like electronic music, however, music making/listening is pretty much my thing, while she... just doesn't really listen to music. I usually roll with one or two other people, so even then, the music gets drowned out with conversation (not necessarily a bad thing).
So we're supposed to do E together sometime soon, but I'm highly considering taking a dose (I'll have a few doses) after she goes to sleep one night. I wouldn't be hiding it from her, necessarily, but part of me kind of just wants to run my own show... IE, pretty much wear my headphones and listen to non-danceable electronic music for 4 hours, smoke cigarettes (which she hates, and I do too, when not rolling), and just generally melt into the floor when I want to, rather than having to compromise as to what/where/when we're going to do whatever. Walk around late at night rolling with headphones on, smoking like a chimney. You get the idea.
The only thing I'm slightly worried about is getting super high, then immediately wishing there was someone high with me.
Anyways, I'm not looking for you guys to say "You should/shouldn't do this/that," I'm just looking for insight as to your experience(s) rolling alone. I've only done it once or twice(rolling alone - I've definitely had my fair share of "normal" roll-nights), but only at threshold levels, and those times, I got more annoyed about not being that high than I did at being alone. This time I intend to do it correctly.
No offense, but IF YOU HAVE NOT ROLLED ALONE, please don't respond. I don't want this thread filled with "OMG, I could NEVER roll alone! Blah blah blah!" No offense, again, but I know that's what will happen if I didn't say that.
Thanks!
