Is cocaine like speed?

Obviously cocaine is speeding literally because it speeds up ur system.... But I've heard from many people that's it's different from speed (or a speedy roll). I don't quiet understand what the difference is in terms of the mental effects and the physical feeling... Can someone please explain to me?

Speed's more of a concentrated high, coke you feel all over the place. Coke gives a nice body buzz too. Personally, the coke comedown is easier, unless you do a lot. Coke doesn't last as long either. Coke makes you full of yourself, but it's super fun if you can control it reasonably :P

See, I like body buzz. Is the body buzz aspect of it anything like rolling? Or mephedrone? That's all I have to compare it to. And what exactly do you mean by all over the place? And really? Speeding to me makes me unable to concentrate and super paranoid. Like I can't look at one place for more than 2 seconds.

The body buzz of coke is kind of different from rolling, rolling is kind of akin to a deep, orgasmic feeling whereas coke is like a... strong, pleasurable feeling of 'pins and needles' on the surface of the body, especially the face.

I assumed you liked speed, that's why I said what I did. But to answer it's kind of the same thing as you said without the paranoia. Coke can actually help you concentrate on certain things, but it's easy to just switch your focus every 10 seconds, because everything just seems 100x more interesting, and you just do everything that comes to mind. It's good for conversations. They're like MDMA conversations without the feelings.

Yeah, the focus switching can be such that only the coke-head feels in optimal conversational mood. Conversation partners who are sober get irritated. Logorrhoea is the operative word.

One major difference is that speed will deprive you of sleep for a long, long time. Coke doesn't do that.

Very good answer. The "pins and needles" you're talking about sounds a lot like mephedrone. Or even the after effects of mephedrone. I like it a lot actually, but I do prefer the deep wavy-like buzz of MDMA.

Basic effects questions are better suited for BDD than OD so we can try this over there.

I can describe it best this way:

On coke, I actually don't want to work. I just want talk and do shit and show off. My head's all over the place, and there's this "zzzzzzzzz"-buzzy sound in my head.

On amphetamines, I'm extremely focused on the task at hand, can do boring crap for hours, and feel more clearly awake than actually on something.

This is my experience, your mileage may vary:

Speed, e.g. dexmethylphenidate, crystal meth: Like an adrenaline surge you would never get from anything else. After all, that's 1/2 of what it does, agonizes the adrenal gland, also dopamine receptors. I want to do shit. I don't care what. I pace, I ramble, it's pure energy.

Cocaine: Body buzz from hell. Yeah I speed up, I stay up all night, but I don't care about doing things. Sure, I'll do things if I feel I need to, but I just enjoy it. It's more euphoric to me, as was stated, you feel it all over. Not pure energy, though you do feel a bit wired, the biggest thing is that it's all over you. Snort some, get numb as fuck, I love it. Cola is my favorite, and I am a bonafide tweaker.
