I smoked ice 12 hours ago and im still getting a rapid heart beat and now my legs and feet are starting to swell. Do i need to go see a doc or is this normal?

the only problem you have is you used my name as your user name.. im T.J. but spell it T-Jae.. so you are pretty close, i think i might sue.. haha nah im kidding (about the suing part).

Fast heartbeat is normal.. swelling not so normal but don't freak out because shit happens. just keep an eye on it and if it gets worse than it is now 1) make sure it's not all in your head (Paranoia) and then step 2) have someone bring you to the ER, they will take care of you.

Since you smoked it im not too worried, but if you were getting the swelling after IV then i would be more worried and would probly tell you to go to the ER ASAP

And the mod below me is right, i haven't seen it or even been through it myself so take my advice with a grain of salt.. do what you think is necessary.. But i didn't pull advice outta my ass either tho.. if it gets worse go to the ER and DONT drive yourself.

Well although ice is a slang term which can have many different meanings, there are stimulants which can cause effects (rapid heart beat) for 12h and longer. The swelling of the feet and legs I suppose would indicate poor bloodflow. Are there any other signs of poor circulation? Tingling, numbness, coldness, lack of skin colour (blue/white), poor capillary refill in nail-beds, etc? Either way if you think you should go see a doctor it would probably be a good idea and nobody on the internet can tell you you are definitely going to be okay (it wouldn't be a good idea to listen to them either).

Basically fluid is pooling in your lower extremities due to gravity overwhelming the strength of your circulatory system (or maybe lymphatic system). This can be caused by a number of different interrelated factors. The most worrisome is it indicating your heart is struggling but it can also be a problem on its own with damage due to lack of oxygen to the tissue in your extremities.

I really can't say how dangerous a situation any of this is. If you are unwilling to seek medical treatment perhaps you can at least call a friend to come keep you company as HooD recommended?

would i be able to use ibuprofen to ease the swelling? or would it not be a good idea?

That would not be effective. It prolly would have no effect positive or negative. I would seek medical help at least go see a doc in the box if you dont wanna do the whole ER thing. Or you could try poisin control or dial a nurse (is that still around?). But if your feet are swelling and have never done it before I would be alarmed. Not to scare you but my friend had his ankles swell after shooting heroin he waited around for a bit. Well his kdneys were suffering damage now he is on kidney medication for the rest of his life and likely will nedd dialysis or a transplant at some point.

i took a mens one daily vitamin about an hour ago and it made me feel alot better. It brought color back to my feet so i elevated them and now the swelling is gone........now just waiting to fall asleep :)
