1mg of xanax enough to feel anything?

When cleaning out my closet I found 2 0.5mg xanax pills. Would taking these be enough for someone with 0 benzo tolerance?
 
Yeah, you'll certainly feel something.

I have a prescription for .25mg clonazapam and it gets me feeling a slight energetic tingling after about 30 minutes.

I prefer low-dosing benzos rather than turning into a zombie, but that's just my experience.
 
What can i expect to feel off of 1mg? I looked it up but almost all of the experiences were people taking 5mg+
 
You'll feel a slight edge taken off natural anxiety. For me it makes me want to get up and do things that are new and adventurous. I'd say it's the feeling of taking one jaeger-bomb... LOL (I'm not a guido)

lol if these ppl were taking 5mgs with no tolerance they would be doing all sorts of shit and not remembering it. with 0 tolerance you will def feel 1mg . take on an empty stomach and you should feel a nice smooth chill feeling in 20mins, should last a few hours. just dont drink on it.
 
hmm, well since I have no tolerance, would 0.5mg do anything good for me? it'd be nice to get two uses out of this.
 
Xanax comes in a 0.25 mg dose for people new to benzos. As with any drug, you want to take the minimum dose possible to achieve the desired effects. For alot of people, 0.25mg is sufficient to treat short term anxiety.
 
If you have no benzo tolerance you will probably feel something decent off 1mg. esp on an empty stomach. My initial dosage was .5 You could always take one and see how you feel in 15 to 20 min and if nothing, take the other pill.

I doubt you'll feel anything from just 0.5mg. While this is a dose generally prescribed to people without a tolerance, it isn't a dose for someone looking to get "high". After 11 years of benzodiazepine use I stopped for like 6 months, took 1.5mg and felt literally nothing. But benzodiazepine tolerance doesn't seem to ever go away. Anyway, expect to feel an edge off your anxiety, mildly sedated & a "possible" head buzz. You should feel "chilled out".

And by the way, the 0.25mg tablets are generally prescribed for tapering and elderly patients. But for some healthy adults it may be therapeutic, but a minority of people. Sort of like 5mg of diazepam, most wouldn't get much from that dose but there are some people...

I disagree, most people who are completely benzo naive will feel fairly loopy and sedated from 0.5mg. It should definitely be noticeable. Anything over about 1.5mg is asking for a blackout in a person with zero benzo tolerance.
 
take the 1mg, will feel nice and relaxed and anxiety free for a few hours (only lasts about 4 hours max ime), may help with sleep too.

lol. ya one time when i was new to xanax, i thought that doing 4-5 mg would be a good idea. i was basically just chilling on my computer, and then it was like *boom*, 15 mins later i'm waking up and it's the next morning lol. my dad came in my room and was saying it was time for me to get up as i realized i was completely naked under the covers. the clothes i was wearing i later found in a different room of the house, and to this day i still have no idea what happened. memory was completely wiped (not much fun if you ask me lol, definitely won't be repeating that)

actually the first time i tried xanax i took 2mg, and had a pretty chill time. it was definitely pushing blackout limits tho. i remember i drove my friend to mcdonalds, and the guy at the cash register knew we were fucked up or something, and ended up giving us some free food. i remember looking down, and then wondering what happened to my burger, completely forgetting i had eaten it lol. fortunately, this was the only black-out moment i received.

i also remember going in my dad's room and telling him he needed to just relax and chill, and not stress about being on my ass all the time with how i mange my time lol. the way i was saying it was like i was a stoner or something lol.
