For the past 6 months or so I have been seeing a therapist and we have discussed a lot about my psychology.
Most of the time adderal is prescribed for ADD/ADHD. I'm 21, and after seeing a psychiatrist and psychologist. They say I have some ADD symptoms as well as social anxiety.
I am not the type to put myself on medication Right Away. (I've been on klonopin and ritalin before, but I stopped taking it because for the longest time I did not believe in medication for the long term.
I tend to be headstrong about it.
When I was taking ritalin I was given the lowest dosage. (Now I realize it was a mistake stopping it) since the dosage should have been increasing. I did do very well that semester in school though.
I have suggested my psychiatrist about putting me on adderal, but he says that he doesn't want me to get on it and he prescribed me Bupriopron (Generic Version of Wellbutrin) instead.
I understand that Adderal is a powerful stimulant. I am aware of the risks and I have done my fair share of research. There are a lot of risk of abuse as it's an amphetamine. I want to try and see if it can work as the wellbutrin hasn't done much of anything.
Is there any advice of persuasion from my doctor. Also does anyone have any luck with adderal and how it has changed your life?
