GBL Megathread 5: Germans do it better

2.448g, no problem weighing with a 0.1g scale. Duration is slightly longer than gbl and it takes a bit longer to kick in.

Hope all is going well for you, benzos should make things much easier if my line of thought is right, was hoping someone with experience could post in the other thread before I chimed in with estimations.

Interesting point Shambles. 500ml came for me today too. Chinese stuff this time, last time was BASF and I must say ... this stuff seems better than the last. So for me the opposite is true :)

This stuff smells and tastes stronger, too. Strange indeed.
 
chinese stuff was always garbage for me.

Just about finished my withdrawal, wasnt too bad with phenibut, still on edge and cant sleep though, but 50 hours or so im over the worst :) Never again.

Hopefully be 100% on sat, then have a gram of preban mephedrone to celebrate heh.
 
The BASF stuff seems to have disappeared off the scene. Many claim to have it, but the generic GBL is what is being sold all over...
 
My "BASF" GBL smells and tastes less intense, but also does not produce the same all encompassing euphoria at higher doses. I've used some of my old stash since I used the BASF and it keeps the euphoria, so it's a real shame, really wish I still had access to analytical tools to find out why.
 
Mine was regular BASF, from within the UK from people that stocked up ALOT before the ban, the europhia dissapears completely after 24/7 use for a long time, all it was doing for me was keeping wd's at bay and occasionally giving me 2-3 hours sleep. Disgusting stuff and i hope i never see it again!

Not saying dont do it, as a few years ago when i used in moderation it was lovely, same with everything really, if you abuse it, it bites back hard.
 
Hi all :)

I've not been here for a while as I've been on a bit of a detox which means avoiding all things that may tempt me.

I've had a few gastrointestinal problems and nausea so my doc sent me for some tests. Considering I chucked copious amounts of our favourite solvent down my neck for near on a decade I was a tad concerned. Although, I never felt it did me any harm, you do start to worry as you get older.

I had blood tests for liver function, kidney function and electrolytes; an external abdominal examination by three different consultants; an abdominal ultrasound scan and an endoscopy (camera down the throat) of the esophagus, stomach and small intestine.

They all came back NORMAL. It's reassuring to know that my hedonistic days haven't caused any lasting physical damage. I thought this may be of interest to those who like to participate in a drop of the lovely liquid. Or indeed Na-GHB as I took a lot of that last year as well.

The doc has now concluded that my problems are probably caused by hormone imbalances and could be the onset of menopause - oh joy!
 
I honestly couldn't notice any difference in effects between what was labelled German stuff and what was labelled Chinese. There was a slight difference in smell - the Chinese was a bit more pungent, and reminded me of the days years ago when we used to get GBL in metal tins. Could well be some smelly impurity at low concentrations, but like I said, I couldn't tell any difference between the two in terms of effects. If I were going to buy one or the other I'd save the money and get Chinese.

my recent batch came froma country that isnt into the whoe BASF debate, and I have to say it works like a charm. As good as any BASF, and cheaper. I don't know what increased the prices recently, but a 20% increase for 1 litre on the main pool of sellers seemed Mighty greedy to me!!!!
 
I've recently bought a bottle of the stuff.

The bottle came with a large sticker of German warnings, smells rank, tastes rank, but does the job.

Might convert half of the bottle to GHB.

Is the GBL from the well know site still proper BASF stuff? Was gonna have a crack again but if they're passing it off as Chinese at those prices I'll pass. Even though they are selling the Chinese gear too which is a touch strange?
 
Gbl?

Found someone local selling GBL in microcentrifuge tubes, 1.6mL caps, but containing 1.5mL GBL. 12 of these caps selling for around a tenner.

Seems a very good setup, the caps are leak proof and take a bit of damage before the "pop" open. There are 5 colours of the caps. Green, yellow, pink, red and blue. All hold 1.5mL of liquid, but they are all dyed a blue colour.

I've sampled a few of the colours and all do the required effects, does anyone else have anything like this going on around them? Is it GBL or something alike?

I know for sure there isn't a GBL like stamp thread in EADD but am not sure if this thread is permissible there. I'll PM an EADD mod for you and see what they think.

I recently acquired some chinese GBL. It tasted worse than I remembered so I went about trying to purify it.

I found a patent detailing the use of HCl to do so and tried a rather half-assed version, finishing with neutralisation by sodium hydroxide. (Sodium hydroxide + hydrogen chloride = dihydrogen oxide + ???)


I found that it gave two layers of liquid which would not mix, and also noticed that the GBL smelt/tasted MUCH better, on a par with the german stuff I've had before.


Edit: I am no longer so confident about this working with salt alone, I think it needs the strong acid to make the the impurities water soluble.

You can do this yourself using table salt and water. You will lose perhaps 10% of your G. Simply add 10mls of water to 90mls of GBL, add 2 tsp of salt and shake and allow to sit for a bit. The salt causes the water to stop mixing with the GBL and some of the smelly impurities also dissolve into it. Remove the top layer and discard the bottom layer and the salt.

is gbl use still common in europe or places where it is easy to order?seems use has gone down alot...i know for americans it has bigtime, its basically non-existent...you europeans are too lucky :)

Quick question to all those in the know. Can anyone tell me what the OD level of GHB is or what the borderline level is? Also if you are at borderline level what experience would you expect to have?

The amount that causes an OD is going to vary person to person depending on their tolerance. A heavy user could take a lot more than someone trying it for their first time.
