Whenever I take a small dose of opiates to potentiate the alcohol euphoria, I always feel like my head is clearer and the alcohol feels like a cleaner drug in general. Does anybody feel this effect as well? Do opiates antagonize some aspect of the alcohol high while leaving its euphoria intact?

For me it depends on the opiates and depends on the alcohol. One opiate with beer feels different than the same opiate with hard liquor. Same thing for different opiates.

I feel like anything more than 1 or 2 standard drinks when you're on a opiate will basically ruin the opiate experience and cause the experience to be a waste of whatever opiate you took.

no worries I only combine alcohol with opiates when I don't have enough to get a decent high with the opiates by itself. It feels mainly like being drunk with more euphoria and less side effects. I completely agree alcohol ruins the opiate experience in general.

I feel the same....alcohol makes oxy's and opana better. just takes a few beers for me. BE CAREFUL combining alcohol with opana though! Cant stress that enough!

I drink on my subs. A lot of people say they don't like it, but I think it enhances the effects of both of the drugs
But I'm just an alcoholic, what do I know :p

lol @ alcohol euphoria

I can drink a lot more on opiates. I can't say they add anything enjoyable to the opiate experience, though. Be careful with mixing the two if you're not experience with opiates.

I'm not exactly sure why you're lol'ing at alcohol euphoria. Depending on the initial alcohol dose and speed of administration, the first 30 minutes can definitely include a nice euphoric dopamine rush feeling. It's not intense euphoria but it's there. I said above the only reason I'll mix the two is if I don't have enough opiates to actually get high. I would never add alcohol to an intense opiate experience because it's dangerous and alcohol is a dirty drug and it dirties the experience.
