Nope. Insomniac wants money. Sure theyve made a lot of money from ticket sales alone, but theres also a lot of money to be made from sales at the event. They might increase security and make searches a bit more thorough, but I doubt they will be a huge difference. If someone dies at Vegas, then I honestly dont know if theres any more hope for the rave scene (not that there is much left anyway).

It's not only the promo company that decides if it doesn't happen. If the LV Motor Speedway doesn't want the risk they can shut it down too. It's ridiculous that people are overheating like this, especially when an event is held outdoors. I feel terrible for the young man but its people like him that give the rest of us a bad name. I'm sure he took some pills that he didn't know what was in them, and most likely it wasn't even real MDMA. You don't need drugs to have fun, and if you can't get legitimate drugs then you shouldn't take them at all.
Having said this, I still think Insomniac is in a world of trouble. They obviously don't take all the necessary measures to have a safe event. All those fence jumpers... that shit wouldn't fly at an event in Chicago. We have Scamp and NorthCoast.... but it just seems like the quality of people attending LA events are different. Watching youtube videos of EDC LA from the last few years makes me not even want to go. Fake gangster "ravers" everywhere.... So lame those people.

Yeah, Socal raves have every style of person you can think of. Sooo glad 420 Fest wasnt full of "cholos", just a lot of potheads. Smoking bowls all night whilst tripping on 2C-E, dancing to some of my favorite Trance producers sets. Fucking amazing night
